I ordered the Katanagatari premium editions a couple of days ago, and they're now en route. I can't wait to get my hands on those things, they look absolutely gorgeous!

I got my Ikoku Meiro no Croisée (DVD collection) the other day, I forgot I had preordered this a while back.
A surprise of the day if you will.

Expecting a Nano (Nichijou) nendoroid in a couple days too.
I also just pre-ordered S1 of Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon (BD). November can't come soon enough!

planning on getting S2 OST of Horizon as well as S2 BD (whenever Sentai announces the release date for this...)

Just yesterday I picked up some manga. I picked up solanin (since I've known about it forever and I've been meaning to finish it), the first black edition omnibus of Death Note (I need to have that manga for myself, I tell you...!), and Bakuman #14.

The latest anime I bought was the last limited edition volume of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, which I got in the mail just last week. I had been waiting forever to buy that and I could finally afford it. Yay!

Boy, the front cover made this awkward to buy since my mother was the one buying the product off Amazon It's going to be even more awkward when it's Mayo Chiki's turn

Just ordered the Strike Witches LE BD from cdjapan, allthough 110€ is kinda ridiculous, but well, no sense in complaining about japanese prices. And if SW isn't worth it, then what is?

Also pre ordered Mayuyus upcoming single, it's kind of anime related since it'll also include the theme song for some Anime movie she and KanaHana will be starring in next year.. honestly don't really care about that though, I'm much rather looking forward to the DVD of her wearing different japanese school uniforms.

I have finally bought a Gurren Lagunn Box Set. It was pretty cheap compared to probably Japanese DVDs but it's still fairly expensive. Nevertheless I guess it's a good value considering it's 6 DVDs for $70.

I'd probably buy the music CD's when I actually go to Japan. Even in PlayAsia, they don't probably sell the stuff I'm looking for.

Those are absolutely gorgeous. Very nice.

NIS America is releasing that in January for the non-Japanese speakers, and they're using some of those original cover designs. You've got me beat, but I'll be happy to settle for that second best once it arrives.

Yeah Buriki's artwork definitely makes for some attractive covers. The NIS America version looks like a more compact release (as is with most overseas releases). Looks very nice though. I only get the japanese blurays for series I really love, and because of the price, I don't have that many.

Aye, that's a given for English releases. NIS America's releases are quite beautiful and elaborate compared to most the other big English company's releases. Worth the extra buck. It's not even that much more expensive than other new releases, I'm quite impressed with their efforts (and choice of licenses) so far. If I bought the Japanese discs, I'd probably only be able to afford one or two shows a year, so that's a no-go for me at the moment.

On that note...

I can't compete with you guys, but I just received a pretty neat package myself: the Aniplex Bakemonogatari release! I'm incredibly happy with it. A hefty price tag, but it's one of the few recent shows I'd be willing to part with that kind of cash for.
