By the way the website just got updated. They removed the "2012" part. Looks like they will do it.

Since they went through the trouble of making a banner, it is likely that it IS confirmed, but only recently. And that the banner was meant to be invisible until they are ready to announce it.

Well... I know how we all feel about discussing the Kizu film.... but why exactly is Shaft pushing it off for so long? Like, how would they benefit from doing so, besides potentially better animation quality?

Lots of speculations.

Oishii (director) is a sloooow director.
Seiyuu bookings. Dramturgs and GC.
Competing or avoiding on showing it on the same year as EVA 4.0
Nisio might be the real cause of the delay because of plot problems with the last books.

Hmmm I don't know much about Oishi-san, so I can't comment much on that.

Naaaah, I don't think the seiyuu search would delay it for this long. I think Shaft can find appropriate ones in a timely fashion.

The EVA 4.0 sounds like a worthy concern. Regardless, I'm sure Kizu will come out just fine.

This one is interesting. I hadn't thought of this before. It's funny because if Shaft had filmed Kizu earlier, they would have a legitimate excuse to overlook these plot complications.

The music director for Kizu is now on indefinite hiatus. Everyone should just read the translations...we might not get the movie if he retires which I hope not...

Of course I'm ok with a replacement if his health does get worse but I'll be expecting a recovery first.

Good thing he works at Monaca so that Shinbo can use that Kaiki troll BGM everytime he wants with no crediting issues.

I don't think there's a name for it. But if you're talking about the "PV" that was the first minute or so of Bakemonogatari that showed stuff Kizu, then it's callled Joshou.
