Such an awesome series. I must say it's one of the few shows that keeps my eyes glued to the screen the entire time then wish for more due to the excellent cliffhangers. Even if it's not popular in the West, what matters is its popularity in Japan. Hopefully it keeps pulling Japanese fans, so they keep making new seasons.

Wow, Wang YI!
Next week, the finale for the first series. With the title as Succession, it looks like Wang Yi is passing the torch to Xin. I'm not sure what will happen to Wang Yi, but I hope he does not die. Maybe he will stay out of the limelight in the future and coach Xin behind the scenes. Li Mu is a very good strategist, but all the generals on Zhao look evil. I'm pretty sure that Li Mu will become a rival of sorts for Xin in the future. So does Xin command 1000 troops after this battle? I can't wait for next week, but will it will suck even more after that when I have to wait for 4 months...

Probably the best single episode in the entire story of Kingdom...That final scene in the manga was what made me love this story and i hope that did the same too for everyone when you guys saw it in the anime.
Kingdom has a lot of potential and might even replace Bleach or Naruto when those 2 end assuming the animation do improve in season 2 and manage to gain popularity.

that was rather sad. the focus will now be on the boys going forward, i hope. how far a time skip are we looking at?
i was not familiar with qin shi huang's growing up years and google to see how much was fact and how much was fiction. surprisingly some of the characters did exist in history other than the king himself.

now that season 1 is over, i could afford the time to read this thread in its entirety. should have done so earlier. it would have saved me the hassle to search for info with regards to the various key characters. so xin was also based on a historical person as was wang qi. most interesting. looking forward to season 2 where i can follow it week after week.
unlike most of you here, i have no interest in va of popular anime characters. just on a whim, i checked out the link given by magax and was most amused that some voice actors resemble their anime characters appearance-wise. is romance of the 3 kingdoms the same as the book & sword thing?

I am not sure what you are referring to here. Could you please elaborate on your question? As for the episode, it was referring to the king and his sword. For Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, it was during a different time period that is a few hundred years later than the current storyline in Kingdom.
