This is just a hunch but I feel that amongst the introduced characters so far there is one who is related to the handsome doctor. Hoping it would be either Ichinose or Tanaka.

....Doctor? You mean the one that diagnosed Aika when she told her family she had amnesia? I see absolutely no reason for him to become relevant at all in the story.

not that one... but the young doctor who was in charge of her when she was still alive (before she became Aika)

And I've caught up with the latest chapter...

The thing that happened with the homeroom teacher has been left up in the air this entire time untouched... And I'm not liking that Adachi girl (not sure if I'm reading her name right but the one that seems to be in a game of tug-of-war over Aika with Sakurako). She just confuses things further every time she appears. Though Sakurako keeping who she likes a secret makes it hard for me to fully trust her too.

If kumoko said she resembled her older form when she turned into shiro, why couldnt shin recognize her as wakaba?

Couldn't remember what the furigana showed and couldn't be bothered to go find the chapter again.

And I forgot to mention. Those little tibits now and then where someone is speaking as if observing Aika this entire time without really showing who is saying them~ I know now some of them are probably Sakaki, but I doubt all of them are.

Mainly Sakaki and Ichinose I think

It's just the last character that meets her basically... when she left, they muttered something, but Aika didn't hear it... it's for the readers... to confuse us even further lol

So the author wants to intentionally confuse us.

If you want stuff from syosetsu, I don't have anything. I only started reading stuff from there last year after all. If you don't mind manga, then I'd have to go back and search a bit since titles don't come to mind atm.

Based on the translations so far, I'm very glad the author seems to have made her intense feelings for Ichinose to be a remnant of the original Aika that she needed to cut off, rather than an ongoing thing. It would have been terribly annoying otherwise, not to mention it would have made Tanaka-kun very, very sad, and we can't have that.

So you're in Tanaka-kun's camp huh

it's novel to have this kind of "normal" guy as a primary love interest in shoujo
It's like that Touma dude from Ao Haru Ride
or Chihiro from Kaminomi as female counterpart

the case where a normal becomes special instead because other love interests' traits too strong

Fascinatingly enough, I typically am not a fan of normies. Chihiro was literally the worst girl in a series with many, many wonderful girls. Touma...eh, I guess he's alright. I think I warmed up to Tanaka-kun less for his normality and more because I expect a lot of suffering on his part, the kind of delicious suffering inflicted on male leads in shoujo series that are to trying very hard to get a dense heroine to understand their feelings, such as Yanagi from Last Game or Kei from Special A. I love, love those poor souls.

I think I'm an S. Or an M.

Ichinose on the other hand reminds me of another type of shoujo male lead, the perfect, princely, alien, drama magnet type, like Kaname of Vampire Knight. Fuck him.
