Well, yes, but he ended it because he wasn't going to be allowed to do what he wanted with the series. Has there been any indication of executive meddling here?

In the author's notes in the manga he stated that he thought that Season 2 would be completed in 12 volumes. guess what he underestimated and took 14+ depending on the final total.

No one should be surprised that Season 2 is ending the only real question is whether or not Ikeda has more story to tell and creates a "new" manga as Season 3

If he doesn't that is his choice I am happy with the story so far and wish him luck in further ventures

if he does YAY more Moka and Tsukune!!!

I really hope it doesn't end here. First, it would be interesting if Ikeda shows in book III(Assuming it will have one)about Moka and Tsukune's struggles as a couple and second, probably a political intrigue surrounding the Vampire society.

Also, the last thing i want is a harem. But it seems it is now highly unlikely at this point, which is good.

Wellp, I just caught up on this two days ago, after more than a year of not reading (I wanted the kids to have actually accomplished something by the time I got back, and I knew that would take ages).

A lot of stuff happened since chapter 57. Yet it seems, out of all the things I saw, many of them emotional in some way or another, the thing that seems to have hit me the most was Kokoa being forced to kill her sister. Somehow, amongst everything else, that moment of sadness will not leave my mind.

Hrm, considering that Tsukune, Moka, Kokoa, and Akuha are the only vampires left in all Japan, I doubt there'll be such a storyline. The rest of the Shuzen clan was wiped out during the latest arc, with Issa's fate still being unknown. Not much room for intrigue there, sad to say.

The actual issue will be released on February 4, though those who have a subscription will get their chapters early. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if it came over the weekend. So stay tuned, for the finale.

At least they're not trying to squeeze the epilogue content into this chapter as well. I could see this fight ending in one chapter, but that wouldn't leave them much time to do anything else.
