I think it was the episode right before the game and Seido was analyzing Yeung's pitching style and the coach and Chris pointed out that Yeung never or at least rarely pitches straight down the middle. They had a nine or 12 sided box diagram showing where he generally likes to pitch. Then right after the show shows Yeung doing his "clockwork" pitching and how he can pitch accurately where he wants to, and the last pitch he does right before he ends practice is a pitch straight down the middle.

Even tricky pitches are difficult against Seidou's line-up, and even from the earliest confrontations, Yeung had already seen that the core batting line-up of Seidou was not to be trifled with.
It was highly doubtful he'd mess around with a mind-game pitch-down-the-middle and risk a homerun.

Good to see the pink haired bros. providing some offense together here. I think now we see why older brother (Ryo? have trouble remembering his name) is a little bit cold towards Haruiichi - there's an element of sibling rivalry, and he acknowledges that in terms of raw potential, his little brother is probably above him. There's mixed emotions there, though, because you can definitely see he's proud of his little brother, too. This is a really honest and accurate depiction of sibling athletes.

For some reason I really wanted that Manaka guy to just beam Raichi. In some ways a comical character, but also so extreme that he's incredibly annoying. I'm praying the other team wins so we don't have to see this guy again. But have a feeling it won't turn out like that. Seems like the Manaka side of things has mostly played out in this episode and not like Tamba is ready for a full out showdown either.
So sadly I expect that insane batter's team to win. The series might implode though if we have to watch Sawamura pitch against this guy.

I feel that batteries in DnA are one notch below Oofuri's batteries. Pitchers in Oofuri seems much more reliable, with consistently good accuracy and bigger repertoire of breaking balls.
On the other hand, the batters in DnA seem more menacing. I like both series though, and I would love to see DnA batters challenge Oofuri batteries and vice versa. Raichi would be very happy. |

That's probably the most brutal cliffhanger I've seen so far in this show. The episode felt like it was 6 minutes long.
Really hope the foot stepping out of the dugout is a bit of misdirection and Sawamura stays on the mound, but then again, I feel like if he does stay on the mound, he's going to give up a big hit this time... so I dunno... |
