Just so darn adorable. Loli power saves the day once again . Praise be the platelets!
Props as well to the red blood cell girl. At least she does feel bad for not being able to do more than run away. It's just that her role is different, but still has to be uncomfortable always having to leave the work to someone else.

But the narrator for PPG would be a good choice, too!

I've wondered how the season will progress. (No hints, manga readers.) Will the cells face increasingly strong antagonists as the series goes on? Will they level up? Is this a slice-of-life show set in the bloodstream, or a show with a forward-going plot? Right now it's hard to tell.

You know thinking about this, the human body really is in constant danger isn't it? It's working very hard every minute to not die.
Also I cut off a bit of my skin the other day and it immediately made me think of this episode, it's funny. XD |

I do like the way the directors have created unique Platelets, they're not just a mass of undifferentiated characters. There's a shy one who wears their cap backwards, we see them carrying a ladder in the first episode, blushing and ducking their head as RBC and WBC go past them, pulling their cap down to hide their face (09:49). In episode 2 the same Platelet appears at about 16:24 in the front line of assault shock lolis^W troops (holding hands with the troop leader...). That attention to detail says to me that the people making this series are having fun with it.

I struggled to finish the first manga volume, so I was reluctant to try the show. I'm glad I did. Animation, color, voices, whatever it is that makes anime different from manga was the missing ingredient to my enjoyment. I doubt the show will ever reach high on my To Watch list but it'll be on the list.
