Shino's comical forms are really cute.....and...Aria....wow. That and Shino's patdown make this episode a 10.

Shino's fixation on Aria's girls - I hope it becomes a recurring gag.

It was nice to return to the real humor of the show after the disappointment of episode 3. However I througly enjoyed the episode and if it was possibly it just got dirtier. The line with teacher saying you need something sweet after you drink some salty had me on the floor, the the giant "shouta lover" on top sealed the deal. Shes going to get arrested for corrupting those young boys. The quick scene about the sexual positions you can perform with a bat had me

Arias private conversation just proves when you see 2 girls talking alone Dont interrupt. Pubic hair+split end= WTF I thouroughly enjoyed her undressing in the student council room only to feel dirty afterwards lol.

Shino with no panties on a hot day=WIN

Some gifts just shouldnt be given that bondage bear was so funny and yet so creepy once they hung it up. I wonder if i can get one of those for a friend of mine who has that same fetish

I must admit the ending with Tsuda and Shino walking home in the rain together was perfect. The shot of Tsuda's shoulder getting wet because hes holding the umbrella more over Shino was subtle yet perfect. Shino also bought up the fact that others might think they are couple since they are sharing an umbrella. To me that was a small hint. We all know anime 101 when a girl and guy share an umbrella in the rain while discussing that they might look like a couple. That being said it was too good to be true as Tsuda cool give the girl the umbrella and escape before she can say anything FAILED LMAO.

last but not least i dont think i need to say what my favorite scene was lol. Heres a hint looks my avatar.

Shino .... is amazing in all the disastrous ways Not too many misses in this episode. Everyone got a least a few jokes fired off.

and yeah... a screenshot I took of Tsuda and Shino walking in the rain is my wallpaper for the week methinks.

Oh come on, episode 03 was good enough. While I'd point to Suzu and her fresh-mouthed english, what the episode really showed us, was that without Tsuda, Shino and Aria are as normally plain as ever

As for episode 04, I cannot express how hilarious it was. I mean, I'm following what, 8-9 series this summer, and nothing, nothing this week came close to the sheer hilarity of how perfectly executed it was from start to finish. From Tsuda's thoughtfulness of his gift, to Suzu's misunderstood milk slurping, all the way to the perfectly executed birthday celebration, my god I'm am thoroughly entertained.

--Tsuda, it's not your fault, bud. You had to say something about the book, and there was nothing else you could've said
--Even Hata-chan has some screen time
--Suzu slurping the milk while seated in front of Tsuda... of course in a school filled with overly actively imaginative girls at that angle, it's going to induce double takes XD
--You know, I gotta had it to the manga-ka. Making Aria the girl from a wealthy family is a highly valid excuse for making her quite a ditz. Nearly stripping down to cool off, then running off crying leaving Tsuda in her wake....
--Of course, the winner of this episode, was... Bondage Teddy. I literally "LOL'ed" IRL, it was executed so perfectly, from Tsuda and Suzu's wanting to have their presents opened first, to the revealing of the Teddy, man oh man I had a makeshift brace on my neck and I didn't care if I accidentally snapped my neck, but just throwing my head back and LOL was worth every bit of it. From within the box, innocent teddy. From his head coming into view, innocent teddy. From the revealing of the choker onwards was just "HAAaaaaa...LOL". But it can't be what it was without hanging the Teddy up there with his eye's trailing the glare. I am so hoping this guy stays up there in the clubroom

The entire episode ended well too. Tell me you guys never ran into a situation where you've said your goodbyes to friends/family and as you're about to cross the street the light goes red. I'll tell you this, it's a really awkward scene afterwards, and especially for Tsuda, after that really cool talk Shino get's the last laugh

Hmm, the first thing that came to my mind was actually about IRL, it's done by many. I believe primarily in India, where having something sweet after something spicy is a good thing, where the sweetness is really brought out by the previous meal. I do it sometimes too, like after some Chilli or super Kimchi.

I did feel sorry for Tsuda with that gift. It seems he should have asked her, if talking about her gift is sexual harassment, then what does she call all the stuff she's said and done to him for the past couple months??? I mean seriously, just her giving him a book titled something like "her makeup is made of semen" would be enough for an instant guilty verdict.

Wow. Usually they don't play some jazz music for relaxing scenes like that. Very surreal that one scene.

And the crazy array of girl characters reminds me of Working!!. I love this show.

Am I the only one who thought that the Saxophone Jazz Tsuda likes to listen to could qualify as sex music?

At some point I was expecting a joke about sex music.

Edit - Also dammit Sinestra I was planning to make my own pseudo-blowjob avatar of that scene but you beat me to it.

Its a twisted conception among people where only female has the right to give and accept sexual related things from a male, but when male try to do it on their counterpart, it is automatically marked as sexual harassment. Though i'm kinda okay with it, but sometimes it does annoys me, especially if i'm not the one that starts it.

But in the case of SYD... i don't feel sorry for Tsuda at all.

The umbrella scene hit chords on both the Tsuda-Shino and Suzu-Aria ends. My shoulder is always getting soaked when my wife and I walk in the rain.... but in our case its because she's not much taller than Hagi and unless its a Freaking Ginormous Golf Umbrella I have to hold it at a 45 degree angle.
So even though that scene was supposed to be sweet... I ended up chuckling anyway.

Yeah, it was pretty clearly romance music ... the feeling I got was that it "subdued" the girls a bit from their usual shallow antics. Kind of a "gotcha" back from Tsuda.

Seiyuu Sasaki Nozomi -- who isn't in this show, but anyway...-- just posted in her blog about a trip to Nara like the one Shino and Aria took last week.

Former shrine priestess Nozomi visited the Kasuga Taisha Shinto shrine, and saw all the deer around Toodaiji temple:.

Those shops in the background, on the path leading to the temple, sell souvenirs of Nara. These are the T-shirts we saw in one store when we were there a few years ago:

Say, maybe this show isn't exaggerated after all.

Good episode. So everything's back to normal, and that includes the constant string of sex puns. It makes me wonder, do Shino and Aria say that stuff mostly around Tsuda? Because during the class trip there was far less of it than if they were in the student council room. The birthday gifts were funny. I LMAO'd at the bondage bear. That was actually funny. Tsuda's music was porn/love making music for sure IMO. I really liked the end of the episode, with Shino and Tsuda walking home together. I really like that pairing and I can see it happening in some form. Overall a decent episode.

Issit? That jazz music sounds no different from what Kenny G used to play. No joke intended i believe about the music part (at least not in the manga), probably just to show Tsuda's type of being a peace-lover, as shown by the peaceful scenery of the school. And i'm not entirely sure, but i think she played the CD using the school's PA system? Luckily no one was around at that time though...

In the anime, Shino's birthday falls on Saturday, while in the manga, its supposed to be on Monday. So the music scene was entirely an original idea, not from the manga.

Also kinda late in noticing, but among the pictures that Hata took, saw 3 of it were the pictures of the girls taking a bath in the open bathroom. I wonder if Tsuda saw the pics too.... and Shino sure didn't seem to care about the pics.

Shino's pure and radiant happiness when receiving the bondage bear was priceless. I'm loving this series, not even because of the jokes (many of which are great anyway) but because of Shino and Aria's personalities
