A bit grim in this episode but the teenage years often are.

Kosuda alternates between the "I'm worthless and shy" archetype and the "I'm going to ask her out". The scenes with "little Kosuda" are often hilarious.

Yamada on the other hand:

She's all talk and no action. There's one in every town. She's funny, she's every guys desire but she's so awkward that when the guy she's denigrating as boring confesses she wilts like a flower and runs away. I actually knew a girl a lot like her in high school years ago. I just got the impression that of all the people in her family
she got the least attention so the male attention was her substitute.

It sounds like I'm dissing this series but I actually am enjoying it. We'll have to see how
things turn out in the end.

Yes but Kosuda could man up more on that boat and try something like whispering to her in her ear. That could have worked. Personally he is way too insecure whereas he should be more after kissing her earlier on.

You can't really push all the blame on one or the other at this point. Kosuda, for his insecurity and Yamada for her confusion.

Being told your basically dog crap compared to Yamada all the time by his peers would have Kosuda singing the blues. As far as Yamada, well not much you can say when your trying to equate meaningless sex with a love confession.

The highlight was that Kosuda was able to at least spew out his love confession. If you ignore his kicked puppy look at the end though...

Throughout the episode, I really felt sorry for Kosuda. Yamada has him so confused but that aside, she's a fun character to watch.

But their relationships are moving slowly , very slowly , it take years . Glad that Kosuda confessed and now what will be Yamada's reply .

her classic tsundere lines are pretty well down imo.

She just slips it in casually and doesn't make a big deal of it like some other tsundere cases.

Nope. She is a real tsundere, just that this way around we know her reason's and intentions better. She is still a tsundere though, so no deconstruction at all.

I'm not really into subs but that Coal version was the only accessible one, and man that and the Fox joke was funny. Someone tell me that was directed at Starfox, I can't think of any arcade style shooter to make fun of other than that

No not really unless there is intercourse involved. I don't see Kazuki too much into being perverted and she does look like open minded person to just not being shy of walking around naked in the house. Her brother on the other hand is the shy type and so why he complains about it.
