Asides from the epic action this episode, we finally got the backstory on Mashita, which is close to what many people thought it would be, though with some details fleshed out:

Well, this time the RG system was actually reinforced by the Discharge system, in particular the Plavsky Power Gate, where they finally show why those seemingly useless leg emitters are there.

Basically, all those shots the mind controlled Yuuki let the SBS absorb came and bit him in the ass.

But that was the best part of the episode!

Also, anyone thinking the SBS wouldn't win here is kinda missing the point: it's not the destination, it's the journey, and the battle itself was actually rather epic, even the double Build Knuckle.

Finally, we have next week, which is no longer a 1 vs 1 battle.

I'm wondering if the Power Gates used this episode wasn't already the Aqua mode, given that it has a blue Power Gate color instead of Speed's yellow or Rifle's red.

An epic battle.

But I have to be a bit honest, it feels slightly off to know that Yuuki was not fighting as himself. It's like his half of the plot is suddenly left dangling just by being mind control to fight in the way he did not want to. The very same plot that was built up in his fights against the Renato brothers and Julian is more or less thrown out here just to have the finals pitted against Sei and Reiji. Leaves you wondering if he would have won if there was no meddling.

He got transported into Earth like Reiji, where he met Baker. It was Baker, who appears to be a Gundam otaku herself cosplaying as Sayla, who got the idea to use Arista for Gunpla Battles. Mashita maybe a dipshit of the highest caliber, but even here Build Fighters tries to put a damper on how "evil" he can be. He outright dismisses Baker's suggestion of using their newfound Plavsky mind control tech to conquer the world, and instead Mashita is simply content to be rich and peaceful. And the reason why Baker is so invested becomes clear: she's actually the brains behind the entire PPSE and Gunpla Battle in general. Spoiler for Damn the plot armor: That said, plot holes and armours galore~ In the span of 3 episodes Flana actually managed to stabilise the Embody system to mind-control without one going berserk. Arrogant Mashita who should have just let Meiji finish SBS off. I also can't seem to comprehend the supposed edge SBS has over Exia Dark Matter. How can a Gundam in Trans-Am lose? Unless it's to some overpowered RG system, of course Nonetheless, I can't think of a more fitting concluding fight to the tournament proper. And they could have ended the fight as a draw! At least restore some honor to Yuuki because unless it's publicised I don't think many spectators will know that Yuuki was mind-controlled and not battling on his own accord.
