Ah, early OPs are always a good thing. I find the song to be really reminiscent of colorless wind in some parts (which is by no means a bad thing)... Come to think of it, sola also had its theme songs sung by both Aira Yuhki and Ceui - I'm truly glad to hear this combination again.

Looking forward to the show's premiere - the trailers have all looked fairly promising to me.

Liking the opening theme, that PV also showed off a few new scenes not in the trailer that looked interesting.

EDIT - Oh yeah Fujita Saki as Captain Milk is win!

Rest of the supporting cast has some pretty good VAs as well.

The name made me worried at beginning but after reading this and some other forums I am starting to think that this may be one of better Summer shows so can't wait to see this

I think this and Sengoku Basara 2 are my most anticipated shows this coming season. I rather liked the new trailer, and the opening song might grow on me after a few episodes. definetly liking the thing with the eyes, I wonder how long it'll be before contacts are available in that style

I agree with this after burning through the 1st 11 volumes with 2 side volumes. I hope they put some of the side stories in cause they are freaking hilarious, so I am super crossing my fingers for a whole year run, but somehow I really doubt that cause I don't think ZEXCS was ever in charge of a series that ran for that long (that and ANN says it's only 26 episodes, even though I don't fully trust that either).

In many ways, I'm extra worried about this adaptation, because I haven't been this pumped for an adventure, fantasy, magic, comedy series since Slayers. It would be so kickass if this gets 3 seasons like the original Slayers + all the OVAs and the Rs (with Megumi Hayashibara as Eris lol) though I doubt there will be enough popularity.

I'm just such a huge fan of spell incantations and comedy

OP is pretty decent and the animation looks acceptable. Better than I was expecting anyway.

After reading this thread, I'm looking forward to watching this.

Like many have said before I am worried about studio Zecks(don't know if I spelled that right) doing this, I did watch Chrome Shelled Regios and I thought the adaptation was bad especially after reading the novels. So I hope they do a better job with this adaption and hope they decide to do sequels.

I'm worried with the studio too, but only for the adaptation, for the animation i really liked the regios one, the OP is good, so i hope only that they go in a slower pace so, they can use more materials for a second season too

I've high hope for this one so i hope that the studio this time don't go astray

Yes. Showing in a theatre. A few positive but not overenthusiastic reports from attendees on 2channel (thread one, thread two, more). OnoD good. Lots of fujoshi in attendance. I was curious about this title and read a couple of volumes of the light novel. The general set-up of the story and the portrait of the world is pretty intriguing. But the interaction between the main male and female is a big weak point of the novel. The following is how their conversation goes in general:

M: I am sleepy. Ahh.....
F: I want to eat some dango.
M: When are we going to take a break?
F: dango is the best food in the world, isn't it?
M: Zzz.. Zzz..
F: wake up! Or I'll kill you. (Draw her sword.)

Repeat 10^10 times.

lol, that is true for about the first 7volume. starting from 8 (or end of volume 7) that kinda of exchange only happens once in awhile and completely gone after volume 11.

I would guess the hectic pace of the anime (if they want to cover 11 volumes...) would render a lot of those conversations moot.

Those conversations are kinda fun actually, so I hope they at least keep a reasonable amount of them at least in the beginning.
