what a bang for the last episode but I don't know which is better. a air craft carrier escape or a riding in a plane.
Pretty drastic change there for the ending of Exodus and while we are getting few bits shown about it. I'm getting interested in watching it. It reminds me of genshiken kujibiki unbalance.

Ep 09
Another very interesting episode, especially in showing how the writer can help the director organize his thoughts and priorities when the latter is suffering from some kind of creative block. I was on board with the revised ending until the cowboy with 100 horses showed up, though. Aside from that it is interesting how the series focuses at times on those with one foot in the anime industry already and those who have not yet been able to. The cg designer and script-writer to be are not yet, but in this ep the VA took her first baby step, it seems.

It's as I said around ep.3, there was no sign Exodus! was an MG show all along. The scant details we got didn't fit. Instead, they always said that the girls were idols.
Now that Exodus! is about to end in a month, we have hints of their next project. |

Oh dear, the director is at it again.
The first part of the ending was pretty good, till the cowboy appeared as said as well. But having the girls fly off on a plane to end it? Doesn't seem conclusive enough. Perhaps there will be more twists and turns to the ending. And we finally see what Nabe-P does in the company. I was starting to wonder what his role really entails. Not much Aoi this episode, but here's hoping for her good management in the last episode. EDIT: Just read the Exodus sales reflect the actual Shirobako sales for now. That's nice to know. Maybe I should start reading more into the lines they said. |

Girl complaining about good job with reasonable hours and great benefits ought to bear in mind young animators working 100-hour weeks for $400. I know there should be a happy medium between slave labor working on what you love or relative comfort with mind-numbing boredom, but in Japan right now there effectively isn't.

That new ending sounded like it will be pretty awesome, I was literally on the point of shedding manly tears spurred on by Kinoshita's all fired up enthusiasm, that is until the screenplay went silly at the end tho haha. Wish there's a chance Exodus receive an anime spinoff out of this, or this just an idea but I won't mind if they reserve an episode to broadcast Exodus's last episode in full as conceptualized in the show.

It's a tough spot. Found a pretty good and successful company to work for so financially she's solid. It's just she's stuck. At this rate she'll never actually get to work on what she wants to work on. Can't exactly expect a company that's gotten where it is to shift gears. At best you'll get a situation like this where they can work on some games. But at the same time this is the moment to really start making a choice. Stay with it and at least be stable or roll the dice. Not an easy call to make.
At least they finally have an ending figured out. Now the hellish crunch can become a focus.

YakiPuri LOL (for those not into sports anime, it's a combination of Prince of Tennis [bless its ridiculous power-ups] and Ace of Diamond).
And anime horses... In all my years watching anime I've only seen horses drawn right in a couple anime series (and a few Western cartoons animated at anime studios; Rainbow Brite's Starlite being the one I remember from the top of my head). Either they look good and move badly, or they look bad and move decently, but mostly they look and move badly. I'm thinking they might just CG it if it comes to that. |

....I sort of want to see Exodus for real now...
I was sort of disappointed since, after we saw fictionalized versions of real life female seiyuus, that we didn't get any real life fictionalized versions of male seiyuus.

Looks like Crunchyroll thought Nagai Tsukasa is him.
But actually, it's her. Nagai VA:Yamaoka Yuri(who plays Yano Erika) By the way, Nagai Tsukasa is a reference to Yonaga Tsubasa who plays Mihashi in Oofuri which is directed by Mizushima Tsutomu. Last edited by Kamieichi; 2014-12-07 at 10:39. |
