Subete is an idiot and a family background for Akira. Nothing special for the episode, just the typical average for this series. Though it did give time to the other characters.

Akira is still a mystery. He just knows what to do which is a mystery.

Having father like Sougon isn't exactly a model parent for either him or Maia.

Subete thinks he is the chosen one while Akira is sure he is the Savior. Some parallel between the two.

We are not sure what is Sougon's endgame is. The government consider him enough of threat to assassinate unfortunately every team they sent got killed.

its actually funny that this is the only anime that I watched that the government did something good. Send assassins. Though it looks like the assassins are dumb ones and get themselves killed. They should know he has a magic book and attacking him in front confrontation is suicide, this is not their first failed mission.

Until now there's nothing in common with old Aquarion series, except for Vector machines.

there is a already a clear shown weakness for verbalism.... they need to speak it.

The purple haired manager girl said its suicide missions. The way I see it, its a suicide because of the methodology they are using.

either Subete isn't much of a bright student considering the common sense logic of Sakurako's story involving her taking giant ass transforming plane robots to her house assuming her house also has a massive hangar to store all those things to show it to her sick mother only to be stolen by burglars who probably either super humans or needed equipment that can carry giant ass transforming plane robots without anyone in the surroundings or even her mother noticing that robbery
