Plot Summary

29-year-old programmer Suzuki Ichirou finds himself transported into a fantasy RPG. Within the game, he's a 15-year-old named Satou. At first he thinks he's dreaming, but his experiences seem very real. Due to his use of a 3-time-use special power (meteor shower), he ends up wiping out an army of lizardmen and becoming very high level. He hides his level and plans to live peacefully and meet new people, though developments in the game story (like the return of a demon king) might get in his way.

Hiro Ainana's Web Novel/Light Novel/Manga 'Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku' (Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody) is getting an anime adaptation.

My first impression was "who?", and then I hear his voice as the glasses in Nana Maru San Batsu .. hopefully he doesn't use that voice as Satou ..

First episode is out on Crunchyroll.

It felt rather blend imo except for the world fiction so far. Kinda curious to see how they will adapt that world. I'm going to have to get used to Satou's voice too in this show. They didn't introduce most of the main girls yet so we'll probably see more of them as the story progresses.

Is this also 1 or 2 cour? At the moment, I think it's unconfirmed.

Death March...when the Real World, videogame programmer hard work prologue is far more interesting the generic isekai harem poltline but this one trully take more the videogame side other videogame influenced/converted anime, this even feels like a generic MMORPG.

At least Satoo was not hit by a truck...

can someone explain or translate what most of the "pop-up" windows are?

I can sort of guess some indicate when Satou take damage, but do they keeping popping up whenever he jump or do something?

Hmm as expected of an Isekai world, beautiful scenery.
MC is intriguing, but the graphics for the battle scenes, and general movements are pretty bad.

Yeah, this series would be a lot better with better CG. It's better than the PV, but still not good.

I couldn't help but laugh when, right after commenting about having fixed the unlimited storage bug his superior told him to remove the storage limit. Thus is the life of a programmer. Happened a few times to me as well.

They kind of skimmed with the fall catch at the end. In the LN, she'd been sent flying horizontally as well as vertically, and the fall break spell halts only vertical descent temporarily. The result was instead of slowing her down, it just kept her in the air for a while until she was above a gorge. The way it happens here, it looks almost like she was being safely brought down by the spell and he jumped to grab her without a clear reason, rather than the original where the spell accidentally turned her big drop into a much bigger one and he jumped to save her from the deadly plummet.

There is something very wrong with the exp curve in this game. Killing 100 level 50 enemies would be lucky to get you to level 53 in most mmo's I have ever played.
