I don't hate spike, but i did not like "dragon quest"... Really it was not really that good of an episode and it seemed like there was A LOT of potential for them to have done a lot more. One thing that irk's me is the fact that we have a whole episode about dragons and Spike going on a trip of self discovery and yet we don't learn anything new about dragons. Hell I also didn't care about how the ponies just concluded that all dragons are mean and dangerous when in the same episode Twilight points out that ponies know almost nothing about dragons; we could have had two lessons for the price of one, like say a lesson about how one should not judge others when they don't know anything about them.... All in all i thought it was one of the weaker episodes. Another little tid bit is that the writer was also the one that gave us Mare-do-well which I also thought was one of the weaker episodes

Season 2 is over and it ended on a serious high note.
Part 1 of the wedding did drag a bit, since the basic set up feels like something that's been done a hundred times before(one character believes someone is secretly evil but no one believes her) and it really irk's me that Shining armor was never even mentioned before, but the part2 more than made up for it. Part 1 was just the set up for an amazing climax. And sure saving the day via the power of love is a bit cheesy, but it works with the set up, plus it was much better than the elements of harmony saving the day again.

And Frankly, I really loved the villain/heroine duet (or should it count as a solo =p). Honestly i can't help but feel like it was something taken right out of a Disney film.

Season 2 overall was strong with a lot of hits and only a few misses. Really looking forward to season 3

There's this comic I read called "Wapsi Square" - apparently the author admits to bronyism and has a crossover art piece for auction. I thought it was an interesting piece:

The series is pretty good (sci-fi, supernatural, gods, demons, etc) though like most web comics it had a fairly weak start in terms of art and story.

All I know is the "Tune in next month!" comment from the preview video shown at ComiCon has been disproven, so it won't be August.

If you follow the traditional rules on new seasons for TV shows in the US market, it should be mid-September.

Except it wasn't

At least October/November is more likely. Hub announced it's less than 30 days before the announcement, but seeing as they claim to announce the shows 4 weeks prior to airing, November is probably the safe bet.

I've heard rumors that Season 3 will air in mid-october, I hope they turn out to be true.

I like to think of the glass as half full. Season 3 will air in November, but also most likely in January, December, and other months! Nothing so far says it won't air in October as well.

(yeah, I know, I'm not holding my breath either)

Another month or another month and a half... depending on when exactly in November it is. But, yeah, at least it's close and definite now.

And thankfully, I've still got the freshest Turnabout Storm release to keep me occupied in the pony field.
But oh, the pain it will now be to wait a week with the two-parters now after having watched all previous ones in one go. This will only be my fourth ongoing (after PMMM, Fate/Zero and SAO... and no, I'm definitely not counting One Piece here), but I hope it will be worth it. Looking forward to more memorable eps, a possible Octavia debut (even though checking out the event it was hinted at made me doubtful... but hey

) and more quality stuff from Ingram (besides the two nice songs we've already heard).
