naw its not a popular enough anime to warrant two threads imo. It'd be really slow if that happened. People are good about using the spoiler tags so those of us who have to wait for the english subs can get by fine

Aye... I've given up "seriously" reading this thread for that reason; not because people miss the tags so much, but simply because the topic is too far ahead to make it worth my while. If you think there should be another thread that keeps up with the fansubs the key to actually create it yourself by providing questions / comments / content that justifies its existence...

I've been avoiding all the spoilers but from the way some of you guys are talking the show should get really interesting pretty soon.

I hope so because after 8 episodes, this show is just getting less interesting. I know I was the first to say that there'll be some filler episodes before the show gets to the good stuff but boy, some of these fillers are really lame. The time trial episode bored me to death.

This was just licensed so it will be a while til a translated episode 9 comes out.

If at all. I don't think Lunar subs licensed anime, at least that I know of anyway.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they don't sub licensed stuff... but I think what Princess_of_Hell was referring to is the DVD... it will be a while before they get to episode 9, even with say 4 episodes per DVD we'll have to wait for the third release.

Well if the series did get licensed (since ANN lists it as tentative), Maia finally gets her lucky break. Even in Ep20, life hurled hard breaks at her (although now the main plot is starting to move at full-steam here).

I think what they meant by Maia's memory changing the times is that if she recalled what happened or what she can do, she can effect a change on their society drastically. Perhaps some dark secrets of the world's government or some land. But curious why they would let her live for so long though and why there are opposing factions in those in on the plan...

Isn't Millie's reappearance a bit too convenient too? Hmm...

Have to watch to find out. 3 more episodes to go.

The main plot is developing at a lightning pace lately, I want to watch the last 3 episodes so much

well, so we still can't be sure if that guy is really Maia's brother or just someone hired by the Agency to protect her... Also the "daphne" theme always kinda lead me to believe there might be something supernatural going on (though I admit that's quite unlikely for the current setting)

Hmm... Maia and Milly? not as good as Maia and Tsukasa, but still okay I guess

lately I'm trying to make a Maia in pajama with Tsukasa in men's clothing pic, have to learn more GIMP...

finally the big mystery is revealed, Maia is more than 100 years old and from that sunk city! guess the ocean agency has something to do with the failure of that city's surfacing. Can't wait for the next episode!

I really have to say Ep 22 was very very good.

Maia's childhood was very heartwarming, especially knowing what she has experienced in her adulthood. Little Maia was very sweet as well in both expressions, looks and personality.

I certainly had not expected that Millie's grannie, Ai would be connected to Maia at all. That was a surprise. Nice surprise the series threw (the 100 year slumber angle). So Maia now besides feeling lost and down on her luck, is going to have to cope with the sudden fact that she is out of this time and people dear to her have gone (the talk with Millie showed this well).

Some speculations/observations. When Ai fought off the intrusion, she was questioned by the investigators, one of them has long hair and the same hairstyle, height and build of a certain Ocean Agency commander we've seen....

Now that we know who Tony Long is, Maia's last hope for a familiar face in her real past is gone. Or is it? I have one suspect in mind. Her grandfather is certainly old, very old. He also truly cares for her a lot. He wasn't very well trusted by the Ocean Agency either. He knows about Daphne (most important clue). Hence I believe her "grandfather" was actually her brother Good grief, things really really go bad for our intrepid heroine...

Really wonder what good ending can they give her...

When I had watched that bad kiddish "making of" episode, I kinda doubted it when they said that they had a good story lined up. But after watching ep 22, I have to eat my words and hope to believe!

I would actually dare say excellent ending for this series. It kept in tune with the emotional tones of the initial episode while resolving the whole story.

And that what is. Storytelling. No climatic big boss fights, no humongous large scale battles. Just a resolution of the mystery surrounding Maia and a definite closure of the story. Good in my view.

And I was right on who Maia's brother really was

Boy, did that Maia-clone at the end fool me. For a while I was like "really..." then I was like "huh?!", forcing me to rewind a bit and laugh at myself

This is in my view, one of the better series that started at the end of last year definitely.

There is supposed to be a manga based on the Daphne's world, drawn by "Kamikaze"'s Shiki Satoshi (who also participated in character designs in the anime). It centers around Millie's great-grandma Ai and her adventures.

The first volume would be released in Japan on 28 July 2004.

I just finished watching the last episode.

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised by this series. It really has great setting and light atmosphere. It took me a while to get used to their "costume", but after I get used to it, this show become quite enjoyable. The characters grew on me, including the trio brothers. lol they so hilarious. And Maia for some reason keep ending up as their hostage.

I also love those emotional moments with Maia, specially nearing the end. And episode 24 did wrap this series well. I like happy endings. ^^



I'm really glad I decide to keep watching this show. It turned out to be quite enjoyable.

the trio sending threat video with Maia being hostage, definitely some of the best moments, I just love Maia's reaction when reading those letters
