Someone just joked to me that Shana must have received a huge amount of encouragement from Sakai Yuji in order to pull this comeback off.

This necklace finale has become the perfect precursor to Shana III for me.

wow she actually did it! After 3 years my goal finally has been reached! (and I didnt do anything to came it come true!) Whats best is that this is yet another 1st for Shana's ISML record as the first girl to win a necklace without being undefeated on that round...thats pretty neat.

I guess now I can finally call it quits after this year's post-season...IT WAS FUN ISML!

Plus, can't complain about Hanyuu winning, snce I knew that Yurie wouldn't win. Major plus: she didn't finish last! DOUBLE-WIN!

Yuuko and Ayu are two of my top-tier girls (like, above #1 LOL), so it was good to see Yuuko win, but sad that Ayu-chan lost. But it's especially nice to see Yuuko (and ef) get some love, so I can live with it. And Ayu only missed by 70 points

In Ex 3, Rika is more moe than any of them, so results fail

It would have been nice to see Kyoko win, but Illya is way more moe

Congrats to Shana. I said if Hina lost if would be painful, and it is, though not as bad. Guess I knew the possibility was still high Shana would win. I mean the vote lost was just over 400. Looks like even 15SDO adv wouldn't have cut it. And we have our first 6-1 necklace winner, for whatever that's worth.

Somewhat surprised Illya won her exhibition match.

A 12 SDO gap and Shana still performed what others cannot. Very surprised. For someone to be able to overcome that large of a gap, she should indeed get a prize for it. In this case, it was for the Ruby necklace. A true congratulations to her to defying the odds and winning this one. Now, all she is missing is the Topaz and Amethyst necklace along with the Tiara to show her true dominance in ISML.

Happy to see Hanyuu won. Suwako tried but failed. Interesting to see Yuuko won. Since I love both Yuuko and Ayu, it was a bittersweet victory for me. It looks like the people remember EF more than Kanon, which is quite a surprise in my part. Reimu won. I am not surprised though, given the mostly Touhou domination in the exhibition matches collectively. It is still a shame that if they were to be put in an ISML arena, they would not do as great as performed here. Nice to see Illy winning the Ruby Medallion. Beautiful picture of her as well. It makes me wonder that maybe this PMMM hype in the forums is not as great collectively around the world. I could be wrong and in need of wait to see Homura in action one on one with someone during post-season exhibition to prove this statement true.

Beating Mio was no fluke. There was a Hayate movie released in Japan recently but I don't think it had very much to do with Hinagiku's growth. She had started to improve even before the movie was released. Also Nagi seemed to be completely unaffected by the movie. Just a tiny bit behind Hinagiku in terms of growth is Holo. Holo has fallen quite a bit over the past few months so it's good to see her turn things about a bit. She still has quite a bit more to go before she reaches her Aquamarine level of strength, though. Kanade is another character who displayed a fair amount of growth over the Ruby period. As always, this is totally unecessary since Kanade already horrible kills everyone she meets. Like Holo, Rin was also trying to recover some of her lost strength. Louise is looking to try for her best finish in 4 years of competition and finally crack the Top 30. She also showed a lot of improvement over the Ruby period. It may be just enough and just in time for Louise to get 4 more wins to reach 100 career ISML Regular Season wins. Yami also seem to have improved by a fair bit over Ruby. In a result that probably not all that surprising, Victorique is the one who wishes to return to pre-Ruby days the most. In Sapphire, Victorique got a big boost from the Gosick finale but now that boost is pretty much gone. Also with Gosick over, Victorique is likely in freefall from here on out. Luckily for Victorique it seems she kept up her strength just long enough to finish in the Top 16. Another character who seemed have tumbled just as badly as Victorique was Shirai Kuroko. Index 2 has been over for a while now so I'm not sure why Kuroko is faltering so badly now but that's what appears to be happening. After looking like the clear second place, Yuki loses that status over just a single period. Ruby was just a long string of underperformances by Yuki. I think she got really lucky to beat Shana to secure her 3rd seed and right to avoud Kanade until the finals. Yuki is still one of the strongest characters in the contest but she'll need to work her way back to second place. Along with these three, Iwasawa, Haruhi and Ui also didn't do very well in Ruby. They didn't get it as bad as Victorique, Kuroko and Yuki but they had definitely seen better days. __________________ A miracle that you believe in when you know it won't happen......... is hope.
