I'm going to step back for a while and not write on either side of the story. I just discovered that Fanfiction.net ate all of my formatting for my stories because I used '-'s as line breaks in the past. Now my stories are next to impossible to follow, so I need to fix that before I can do anything else.

Edit: I mean seriously, who does that? I mean, everyone uses '-'s for scene markers, because they're simple and not a FULL LINE ACROSS THE PAGE THAT LOOKS BAD. Raaaa this is sort of like the worst thing ever.

What I find far more horrible is that fanfiction.net eats pretty much any simbol. When writing down percentages you actually have to write '50 percent' because '50%' gets eaten down to '50' which makes no sense.

They really need to fix that, honestly it makes absolutely no sense at all.

Sadly it's nothing to be "fixed". I talked to a mod of FF.N throguh their support thing and they said it was to eliminate people using it for advertising. That's why no links can be posted, no signs can be used, ect.

I personally hate it. I mean, FF.N is THE largest place for fics. Mediaminer.org kinda sucks in my opinion, and adult FF.N .......well, I won't even post my stories there because of all the porn ads. Seriously, what's wrong with giving authors some freedom? Why must I edit my story after uploading it and tabbing between my openoffice document and my web browser searching for my scene changes so I can add a freaking page break there? FFS.

/start edit rant:

I will give them some props for allowing your uploaded documents to stay on the site now. If something is wrong in one of my fics I can re-edit it already uploaded and replace chapter. Used to, you would have to re-upload, which meant re-searching for the page breaks. That's why I haven't corrected the spelling in my old fics. Too much hassle.

Thank Ra Angel proofs my stuff now. I'm sure you noticed the better grammar and less spelling mistakes. I dedicate this post to beta readers, for all the trouble they go through so other people may shine more. Really, Beta readers don't get enough credit! Thank you beta readers!

I'm going to poke around in the Document Manager and see if I can't find something that isn't as annoying as those lines to function as a scene break. Edit - they won't allow anything symbol based.

"We do not support dash or other character based section/scene markers. If you wish to create a separation in your chapter, please use the officially supported horizontal line feature in our document editor or in your favorite word program. Using unsupported section markers will only make your entries less compatible to future upgrades. You can create the horizontal lines in Microsoft Word or OpenOffice by typing 3 or 4 consecutive dash/hyphen keys and then hitting enter. The site will correctly recognize these scene breakers when you upload them."

I vary between --- ~~~ or ~-~-

In Raising Heart I use --- as a personal note to seperate the various parts (all of Raising Heart is written in a single Word file) while using ~-~- for in-story breaks.

... And their answer to stopping advertising was to eliminate all symbols? You'd think removing the @ or blocking URL's would do. What's the point of removing symols like %? FF.N makes less and less sence the more I learn of it.

My annoyance with FF.net and their anti symbolness got me in the habit of not using scene markers at all when I type. Instead I normally just throw in an extra enter when I'm switching scenes. Of course FF.net messes that up too forcing me to use the ugly bar.

I don't get that either. It's not hard to block URLs I know dozens websites that keep symbols but remove URLs.

I found myself waking up as the first rays of sunlight streamed through the window. It was early, very early if the clock on the wall was to be believed. I sat up and rubbed a hand through my hair, wishing for what felt like the thousandth time in the past two days, that this was all a very bad dream.

"Raising Heart," I said sleepily, "What day is today?" I wasn't sure if time passed the same way in this reality, and if the seven day week structure that was commonly used by the worlds that the TSAB monitored was still in place.

[Sunday, my master], Raising Heart chirped from the bedside table. I could see that the younger version of me was working her way through some of the TSAB's books on military structure. I supposed that it was only a matter of time before I joined the military in this world, and stopped working as a Contract Mage. I nudged the books aside as I picked up Raising Heart and put her back around my neck. Perhaps, before I left, I could write down some pointers for the younger me, to avoid some of the embarrassment that I'd suffered begin from a non-administered planet entering the Air Force.

Then again, it would be a bad idea to dampen my chances in this world. I didn't want to rewrite my future in this world. It would be a mistake to attempt such a thing. I glanced out the window. The sun was rising higher in the sky now, and the birds were starting to chirp loudly outside my - the other Nanoha's (what the heck was I supposed to refer to this as? I had absolutely no idea.) partly-opened window.

Sunday, huh? That meant that Fate would not have school at all, and I could borrow her from Admiral Lindy for a little bit of an adventure. I'd forgotten how absolutely adorable Fate had been when she was younger, but something nagged at the back of my mind, saying that I should be careful not to do anything too extreme to the girl, or I would be ruining my own chances in the future.

I picked through the small pile of my sister's clothes that she'd passed off to me the night before and tried to remember my alias once more. I was going to be Yukari, daughter of my father's long-lost brother. I frowned and ran a hand through my hair, I was never, ever going to remember that.

Still, something else was troubling me even more, as I went through the clothes. There were no skirts. None at all. Just a few pairs of jeans that looked as though they might fit me, if I actually felt inclined to wear them.

Oh yes, it seemed as though I was going to have to drag little Fate shopping anyway.

I pulled on a pair of jeans and tried not to grimace as I felt the uncomfortable fabric encase my legs. There was something rather uninviting about pants in general, and I cannot count the number of times that I have said that I'm grateful for the fact that the TASB has both male and female uniforms. I think that I would die if I had to wear pants as part of my training uniform.

I made my way downstairs and turned on the coffee maker. Both of my parents would be up in around an hour, and having the coffee already made would be nice for them, and since I was sneaking out in the wee hours of the morning, I supposed that it was the least I could do.

I was in the process of scribbling a note to my mother, explaining where I'd gone, when sudden, quiet melody echoed through the kitchen. I blinked and made my way over to the small corner of the counter were several cellphones were plugged into their chargers. Apparently, it was my phone that was ringing, and the name that was flashing across the screen told me that in this time, Fate was still doing her part to help me out in the morning, calling me to wake me for morning training.

I picked up the phone, "Hello?"

Fate's voice sounded suddenly panicked, "Nanoha-sa--" she caught herself, and I smiled, she was so adorable. "Nanoha, did I wake you?"

"Not at all." I laughed, "Fate-chan was just making sure that I was up for morning training, right?"

Fate made an affirmative sound, "If you don't want to, it's alright."

I laughed. "I meet you in the usual place in twenty minutes, and then we can go see Admiral Lindy and figure this thing out."

"Okay. Goodbye, Nanoha." Fate hung up and and I finished my note to my mother in short order. Taking one of the disposable coffee cups that they used in the shop downstairs, I filled it with some of the coffee that I'd brewed and headed out.

Morning training with Fate-chan, it had been a really long time since we'd had the time and the clearance to do that. I grinned.

”It was pretty good.” Yuuno snickered. They we're hidden among the cloth racks as a combination of ferret and shadow, which had proven out amazing. Strangely enough, even if there was no light to create a shadow, Same still managed to stay in it.

”Can't they talk about anything else?” Same complained. He had started to regret following the pair.

”They're both engineering fanatics, so I don't think we'll hear anything else.” Yuuno covered under a stall.

”Stop complaining or they'll hear us.” Yuuno reasoned when Aren turned his head.

"'I am!"' Yuuno answered telepathically. Why didn't they think of this before?

Same had covered Yuuno in a black carpet, coloring the aisle ominously black.

”What happened here?” Aren peeked over Shari and saw the black patch.

”Um... Paint bucket fell over.” Shari glanced at the shadow.

”But how can it be so solid and rectangular?.” Aren pondered, lifting an eyebrow.

”Yeah, amazing, isn't it?” Shari pushed Aren away from the spot. ”Shall we go?” She smiled.

”Alright.” Aren ignored his interest and walked away with Shari.

”What the hell was that?!” Same screamed now in human form.

”I have lot to think about.” Yuuno turned to human as well and brushed his clothing.

”And Ren-kun's sperm is one of them?” Same snickered. ”I didn't know you were that close.” He teased.

”My reasons are purely scientific.” Yuuno began walking out of the store. ”And I think I got my answer.” He waved.

”We done stalking?” Same asked, slightly dissapointed.

”Give them some privacy. Shari is propably very paranoid at the moment.” Yuuno answered without turning.

”If you insist.” Same grabbed a nearby shadow and hopped on to it. ”Why did you want to know about his sperm anyway?” He asked, floating next to Yuuno.

”Weren't you the one with special connections to gods?”

”You know, it's very rude to answer a question with a question, not to mention that the two have no connection at all.” Same stated, tilting his head.

”They do have a connection. Answer, please. You may help me.”

”Yes I am the one.” Same nodded and the two entered the street bathing in bright sunlight.

”It seems there are people with Selshin blood in them, outside of Selshin.” Yuuno explained.

”So that's where your ferret form came from. No wonder it was so familiar.” Same reminisced, looking at the sky.

”Yeah, anyway this started around 300 years ago and Aren was the only Selshin here back then.”

”And now you want me to ask the gods if they have been busy lately?” Same asked.

”You're pretty smart when you want to.” Yuuno complimented and brought his hands to his pockets.

”That time of the month. Sure I can ask them.” Same answered nodding. -I call for a gateway to Lucine's office within the Lands of the Dead- He casted with only words and a turn of head. At the same time, the black patch he was floating on dissapeared. ”Luuuciiinee!” He yelled at the small portal that appeared next to him.

”Fancy.” Yuuno inspected the hole in space. You couldn't see it from the other side and it was flat as paper. Inside the gate there was a mahogany throne with red velvet cushions; near this seat there was a table full of paper and a teenager boy typing something. All these things were on a wide, flat grass field with nearly nothing else on it.

”Lucine not around?” Same asked from the secretary.

”Yo, pops. Long time no see.” The kid waved and walked to the portal. He had black shirt and blue jeans. His blond hair reached about his neck and had thin lined glasses on him. To Yuuno he looked like an avarage teenager boy.

”Saluti! I didn't even recognize you. It's been so long.” Same beamed happily.

”It sure has. How have you been?” Saluti kneeled so he could peek through the portal better.

”Good, good. Sorry that I haven't been able to contact. I can whip these babies once a week, so I didn't want to waste it if nobody was around.” Same crossed his arms and bowed.

”It's okay.” Saluti waved. ”Who's he?” He asked looking at Yuuno.

Yuuno expected Same to introduce him so he stayed silent. Same on the other hand only coughed suggestively.

”My old man has strange name memory so you better introduce yourself.” Saluti sighed.

”Ah, yes. I'm Yuuno Scrya.” Yuuno waved at the boy.

”I'm Saluti Myes. Nice to meet you. Sorry that I can't shake your hand, you'd propably die from touch.” The blond boy apologized, lifting his shoulders.

”Myes...” Yuuno repeated. ”Same's your father?” He finally deduced from the speech.

”Uhu.” The boy nodded proudly.

”Lin-rin hasn't told you?!” Same blinked from great shock.

”I only knew you had special connections.” Yuuno shrugged. ”But a god as a child. Now that's something.” He slapped Same's back.

”Oh, no, I'm only a demi-god.” Saluti denied, waving his hand. ”My mum is the god. I'm just in charge of the paperwork around here.” He explained.

”You got jobs already? What are Operu and Gratia up to?” Same asked with great interest.

”Gratia-chan is in charge of the fields and Operu-nee does the meetings and such. Lucine has delegated pretty much everything and does about nothing around here.” Saluti snickered.

”She never mentioned your jobs in her letters.” Same thought aloud, scratching his chin. ”Nevermind that. Is Lucine available?”

”She left to meet you right after her transfer papers were finished.” Saluti explained.

”Transfer papers?” Same blinked.

”Oops...” Saluti covered his mouth with his hand. ”I think I spoiled a suprise. You know the moment she heard you got out of that hole, she stormed Ortivale's office and demanded to be released from duty. You should have seen her! Anyway, now she is waiting for a successor so she can be released from godhood.”

”Aaw... She shouldn't have.” Same blushed and flailed around.

”She said that now that you're not immortal like she, she will live as a human with you. Don't age too much before she is mortal again. You know how she treats elderly people.” Saluti winked suggestively.

”I wasn't planning to. Instead I was going to ascend, so I could be with her, but this works just as fine.” Same stated.

Suddently the gate's edges began wavering.

”Oh, look at the time.” Saluti checked the watch in his left hand.

”Wait! We had something to ask.” Same stated. ”Go ahead Yuchi.” He gestured Yuuno to get closer to the portal.

”Yea, sure. Um... Do you know if you have had any new jobs lately?” Yuuno asked slightly hesitantly, he was facing a demi-god after all.

”Like?” Saluti pondered, lifting his eyebrow.

”About blessings outside Selshin and how they got there.” Yuuno described.

”All I know that after Selshin got blasted, they made a new planet to toy with but then suddently the Tools of Blessing began demanding new blessings outside that planet.” Saluti explained. ”They noticed that there had been a leak in Selshin and it was now spreading to the outer world. It created a big fuss back then, but Ortivale only said 'Interesting, let it be' and so we ignored it and continued to live like we always had.”

”I'll ask those terms from Same, you seem to be in a hurry. Thanks.” Yuuno waved.

”Anytime.” Saluti smiled and the portal dissapeared.

”Got what you wanted?” Same asked from the side.

”Pretty much.” Yuuno smiled satisfied.

Or maybe (this a similar idea but a tad different) In evil Vivio's world something really bad happened (like everybody dying(except for Zaffy )) and she goes evil then she decides to save Little Nanoha universe's Vivio from going through the same pain by making sure Nanoha can't adopt Vivio by having her be dead (it's too late for real Vivio she's already been set up for the disaster). Evil Vivio's logic is very flawed but she's evil and a tad crazy so it works out.

Didn't Satashi set it up so they figured out Little Nanoha was the actual target and switching them was part of some bigger plot
