Well, I broke down and decided to watch the crappy camrip

. I think the movie definitely lived up to the hype. The animation is incredible, and so was the OST. I think the only thing I found weird were the Japanese kids' songs, and the scene right before the very end felt reminiscent of something I had seen at the end of the Revolutionary Girl Utena TV series. The final battle left me wanting much more Mari action. I think the 3rd and 4th movies are going to be amazing if they keep raising the bar. We're going to get completely original scenes for 3.0 and 4.0!!

That's if they jump straight into fighting EVA-06 after Zeruel trashed the place though. It's doubtful though, plus there's that whole 'Rei protecting a gamut of chibi-Reis' from the preview, so I'm guessing plot, THEN the beatdown.

One thing I learn is don't use previous series and movies of NGE to understand the plot of Rebuild. They chuck out a lot of old plot here and I wondered how they going to conclude the 3rd movie. Harem ending?

If you include Adam, Lilith and Tabris, 11 Angels have appeared.

1st = Adam
2nd = Lilith
3rd = the Angel destroyed by EVA-05
4th = Sachiel
5th = Shamshel
6th = Ramiel
7th = the Angel destroyed by Asuka
8th = Sahaquiel
9th = Bardiel
10th = Zeruel
?th = Tabris

Gainax also stated that there will be only 12 Angels appearing in the movies. Though its unknown whether it means there are only 12 Angels as a whole, or 12 Angels will be fought.

Also Gendou said that they must defeat the 8 remaining Angels while fighting Ramiel. Seeing that Adam, Lilith, the 3rd Angel are already captured or subdued by Nerv, Sachiel and Shamshel already defeated, with Ramiel soon, we are not sure how exactly to count these 8 remaining Angels.

That's what it was in the original version, but they wern't counted in the numbering with the other angels, so they may not be our last angel again.

Oh and for the ending, here's hoping they leave Rei alive and Happy.

Wonder if Mari will be the pilot to unit 08. Unless they pull out a new character in the 3rd movie, her role as one of the five prophesied children is just about guaranteed. Though any guesses are valid to what the awakening refers to.

Just gonna say I am liking Shinji 2.0 waayyy more than his original self.

Rei deserved better than what she got first time around, and new Shinji might actually be able to fix that this time.

Instead of the 11th? Angel Tabris riding on the 12th? Angel EVA Mark 06, I see the entire EVA + Kaworu as a single Angel called Tabris. Lilims as Angels don't seem likely now for some reason. Seeing how Gendou said there are 8 left to be defeated, there's an excess of Angels. I don't think Lilims would be counted in, and needs to be defeated. 3.0 definitely has time for one more Angel + Tabris, unless they're going to take on an army of EVAs and a gigantic battle with Lilith. __________________ No longer a NEET so I'll not be online as often.
