Smart of SERN to let Okarin and Kurisu do all the work for them, then step in and claim the device.

I don't think villains care it looks bad on them or not, it's the end result that matters. And if this is going to be made public, obviously they would claim that they invented it.

Yea SERN didn't stop after turning people into jelly a few times so was pretty clear they wouldn't mind killing people like Mayuri who were no important to their research. Though I wonder looking at the death flags she was giving, was in intentional? Did she know she was going to die? So many questions from this particular episode alone. But now that this has happened things are going to get a hell lot serious.
The one week wait is like a punch to the guts >_>

It seems to be too early for an alternate reality, in my opinion. But everything is possible. I'd rather see more development in this reality, so I'd prefer it to be flashbacks. It's unlikely that they would be able to use either of the two devices any time soon.

The entire episode felt like a build-up, because I had heard a lot about it, yet nothing seemed to really happen, apart from the usual comedy and semi-seriousness... Then in the last few minutes I was a wreck of goosebumps, shakes and sweating. Probably one of the best scenes for years, I'm rarely *that* tense for something like that. Madoka didn't come close.

Epic epicness. And still ;_______________________;

What if Okarin finds a way of using the timeleap machine and goes back 2 days and stops them from shooting Mayuri? Crazy I know, I just wish it'd happen.

The problem here is how Okarin will reset things, he's now being threatened by a bunch of guys (+sexy Moeka) with guns making it impossible to send any D-mail and I doubt even if SERN force him to do any experiment they will allow him to send something that could reset everything D=

Sometimes you just caught in something you should have never gotten involved with. Excessive meddling and keeping everything to yourself is just gonna lead to disaster. Although I knew someone was gonna get knocked off i just didnt realize it'd be Moeka to do it, even though she's probably the most likely one. Well creepy people are creepy I guess.

So from this point on, I guess he's gonna aim for the reload button. It's gonna be a pain for sure... thouroughly depressing episode. The lack of duturu will sting.

True, but I think SERN doesn't know how the group's time machine actually works (needs the tv from downstairs to be on for example) so we'll see how it goes. I wouldn't rule out the rather cheesy option of SERN having Okabe show them how the machine works and at the same time he manages to send a message to himself or something like that.

There are many parallel (and differences) between Steins;Gate and Madoka Magica. I was giggling when I was watching Madoka. The sadistic part of my brain was laughing when reading about some of you moe in Mayuri when I already knew what is going to happen when I played the original VN.

(The latter half of the above is meant to be scaracasm)

Anyway S;G is ain't no amazing VN for nuthin'.
