I keep trying to compare that in size to Island 1 from Macross Frontier and my brain hurts. It looks to be of comparable length (but obviously not width).

And again, if you fell off the deck of the Oarai school ship, you'd be falling about a third of a mile.

That was my first thought. It would take a hell of a lot of resources to build such a ship, and the other school ships are even larger!

I don't know, it seems the design team of GuP might have overblown the dimensions, (too much imagination or too much zeal? for shock value?)

maybe even an oversight.

I mean SDF-1 Macross is just 1.2 km long and it was already carrying a city with 50,000 people on board. Building anything movable with those dimensions would already require Space level technology (Horizon's ship IIRC is 7km long much bigger, but it had the "advantage" of MAGIC ^^). Ah just thinking about the superstructure material tech, or the control tech , not to mention maintenance, safety and Power-plant tech! >.< making my head hurt. And that's just the science side, how about the economics side? man it would take the whole UN to build something like that cost wise. Oh well

that is why i just think about the girls.

P.S. oh and did I mention the whole ship is only for 1 High School !

But again, I mean all of Island 1 from Frontier, which already makes the original SDF-1 look puny by comparison. Not just Battle Frontier, the whole thing.
