Depends on which volume you read.
Since om later volumes sometimes there are too much super power flying around that kinda overshadow (or simply distracting you from) other stuff in the series.

But yeah, Defective Product is a very hollow and nihilistic individual.
Think Medaka Box's Kumagawa Misogi, but less nefarious, more pessimistic and with more common sense.

Anyway, I am going to pray everyday now that they won't cast Kaji as either Defective Product or Humanity's Failure.

It's not like I remember every part of story clearly because it's been almost ten years since I read the final volume. But seeing titles of each volume reminds me of some scenes and certainly makes me feel a little depressed.

I'm really glad this is finally getting adapted, but I really don't feel the story (at least, of the volumes I read in English) is something that adapts well to television. Would prefer a film series...

Kaji has a really wide range. The quality of his performance usually depends on the role he's placed in. I wouldn't worry too much if he ends up voicing any of the characters here.

If he voices Moeta? Sure, I can go with it.
But I'd rather die than hearing him acting as Ii-tan or Hitoshiki.

This is not harem.
Romance? Not really. Although Defect and Tomo likes each other, their relationship is very far from being romantic.

But there most definitly a lot of 殺し愛い between many other characters though. (Namely, Hitoshiki and Izumu.)

The way Ikkun looks it's gonna be either Kaji or a female VA, lol.

I wouldn't mind Megumi Ogata though, given her role in Danganronpa 2...

I've only read the first two volumes because Kodansha is stupid about releasing more in America, but I'm still hype. And this is honestly Nisio's best work Also get ready for Kunagisa moé
