Ok so the stuff with Celia at the end is good. Don't know what happened before, just read the end; but it seems Celia became super OP. She is now also a swordsman specialized in close-quarters combat. She mastered multiple wise god magic probabbly because of what happened to her at the end of volume 21. She came give a letter to Duke Arnor that he had to sign, in which its stated Christina will become Queen of Beltram in 1 month thanks to the regalia. Duke Arbor didn't wqant to sign it, so he tried to kidnap Celia who came alone, with Lucci, Renji and his knights to no avail. Celia used her new magic spells. Then at the end, after signing the letter, Celia returned to Galark but Reiss with Renji purchased her and Reiss ordered Renji to kill her with his strongest spell. The scene with Celia ends with her defensive spell and Renji's spell clashing with each other. Reiss absolutely wants to kill Celia now. He understood she mastered the Wise God Magic (ancient magic) and she just doesn't use modern magic now.
Celia is still a magic caster but she can fight as a swordsman and her skills her powers now are greater than a hero. She can use both Wise Gog magic and modern magic. And she said she needs to fight alone and not depend on Rio, Sora and Aishia because rules are still active for them. The stuff with Miharu is strange in epilogue. She is sleeping with Aki next to her and she heard a voice. Takatrash voice she thinks, who told her to make all choices she seems to be wrong and not doubt it. |

Aki is really adorable in this book for now. I liked her a lot. Both her and Miharu make peace each other and she said to Miharu she doesn't hate anymore Haruto. She knows she was wrong and that she just wanted her ideal couple to be together (Takahisa and Miharu) even if she knew Miharu loves Haruto. Takahisa is sane in this book. He apologized to everyone and told himself that he was mentally unwell when he did this to Miharu, although he doesn't really know why anymore (he forgot about Rio). He says he will do everything to win back everyone's trust, and Miharu's because he loves her and wants to stay with her.
Rio gave his half-broken mask for Celia for her to analyze it (Celia learned new techniques and regained her memory, that's all). Among her new magics (apart from those already mentioned with her fight at the end of the book), she has a magic that allows her to analyze objects. Rio has confidence in her. Celia is not a transcendental or a familiar. Everyone thinks it's Hiroaki who saved them except trio girls, Celia and Sora and Reiss. Hiroaki is not happy about it. Both him and Renji, same with Takahisa swore to become stronger. Hiroaki is becoming more likable. |

Trio girls? is it the sara, alma and orphia? is the work of the transcendent being rewritten and their work was being explained or replaced as work of someone? like in this case, its been pass as Hiroaki's achievements? Takatrash becoming better? and its due to Rio being forgotten. I wonder if Hiroaki is the same with no Rio being the center of attention.
What memory did Celia got? her ancestor is connected to Miharu's pass? Celia become an exception that remembers the transcendences? Ego Renji had really become Reiss attack dog. A much better dog than Lucius rabid dog.

I'm not really a fan of this this whole Memory wipe arc. The Author is using it to reset everyone's personality. Like a convenient Plot device.

I'm also not a fan of the current arc but I've taken interest in it. Especially if the others are taking a personality change/becoming better. It feels like this happen when you remove the protagonist of the story. the target of envy. the center of attention. its time for the others to shine. though for other readers, they probably won't like this arc that much. to me, its just unique, since I haven't read a plot story like this.
it reminds me of Satan/Buggy being the center of attention or rather being the one who are being praised for the work of others. here, Rio's work is being transferred/explained replaced by others work(hiroaki in this case)

I just hope it doesn't last long, stuff that has no realistic/pragmatic aspect like a permanent mass memory wipe or time travel almost never works out well, especially if it takes so many arcs. Imo, the more this arc continues the cheaper/more annoying it might feel. Besides, since he made Rio overpowered compared to everything else that breathes in that world, author put so many restrictions on him, he can't be remembered by anyone, basically he can't form relations anymore or keep the ones he had, he can't actively fight for his goals because it would be a breach of the rules and he would forget and be forgotten, if he does fight for something, he'll still get forgotten once the mask is taken off, so he can't get any pluses from fighting. like he protected Christina and all but nobody knows him, is grateful to him or would do anything to help him. He, or rather the 3 of them are basically forced soloers with so many people to care for and protect while almost never allowed to move freely. Bruh I would have broken down hahaha.
Meanwhile Reiss might as well be called the invisible hand of the author. Plays out of the rules? Check Fairly strong while not at his prime? Check Monitors everyone and knows almost everything that goes everywhere? Check Almost completely enigmatic mystery after 20+ vols? Check Will never die or be caught no matter who he faces and what happens? Check... the list goes on Just tell me that Reiss is the reincarnation of the bus driver who was actually the chief of the CIA working undercover when the accident happened who's now out to revolutionize the demon army's intelligence department and I would believe it. Also, I didn't read it so I can't tell for sure but, Aki's retribution feels really cheap to me. Author left it untouched for 10 vols and he decided to solve it with the magic of memory wipe? The whole Aki thing happened because Rio/Haruto, her hated brother was there. Even if you tell me that she doesn't hate him anymore, who is she talking about man, pretty sure it's not the Haruto that picked them up and took care of them in that world, cuz yeah, she doesn't remember him. Author, please stop trying to pull cheap tactics and ways out of feuds that kept going for ten + vols. |

Hey Spoutebe, thank you for your thoughts. What do you mean when you say, “ make all choices she seems to be wrong”? This feels like she’s going to give Takahisa a chance in order to keep the peace or something. Does she still have feelings for Haruto? How did she react to Takahisa apologizing and swearing to win her trust back?

Then the voice changes into Takaisha's voice and Miharu wakes up in a panic. Its unknown if the choice coming up is again about Takaisha imposing his will on her or something else entirely. |

The fact that those three head tails seemed to have a mind of their own and that the maximum number of familiars is three made wonder about the same thing since volume 21. Unfortunately there isn't any new info about that.

She has gained the trait of a wise god familiar, which allows her to have parallel thought. Celia described it as if there were multiple voices of her speaking individually in her mind. This allows her to greatly process information quickly, and allows her to cast multiple magic formulas at once. Another ability she learned thanks to Sora is basically flash casting. A method the wise gods apparently used to deploy magic. This method allows Celia to create the magic formula without having to chant. Celia sees it as a means to get closer to Rio with his spirit arts. Last, which is what the image is about is Celia's ancient magic spells she learned. On top of analysis, she can also imitate others combat abilities (alter Ego) through ancient magic. In the final fight scene between her and Reiss, Renji and Beltrum knights, she reinforces her body, and a wooden sword she grabbed off a knight and imitates master-class swordsmanship. Finally she has a magic jet pack now for lack of a better term. It allows her to fly. Its unclear if Celia obtained the magic formula that allowed her to break Gods Rules. She doesn't believe she did, but both she and Rio assume it was the initial magic that enveloped her body in Rodonia. |

Hey Jagt, are you done reading volume 22? What are your thoughts on it? Did you think it was one of the more interesting ones? Any particular complaints or compliments? Does it feel like the memory loss will persist for many more volumes?
I myself can’t say i enjoy this new trend of ending a volume in the climax of a battle, regular cliffhangers are bad enough already. |
