Just finished the volume. I was honestly thinking of Nobunaga until the curveball that was his memories.

Initially, I'd say he wasn't Japanese, but the memories were flowing backwards, meaning his last inital memories could have him invading a foreign land, which broadens the possibilities.

Hannibal's army consists of cavalry AND infantry. In fact, the core of cavalry unit in the Battle of Cannae is Numidian cavalry, not Carthage's.
It will be great if Hannibal is another Resurrectee instead.

On another note, I saw that the list of Resurrectees include Richard the Lionheart and Saladin. I hope that in the future volumes those two will meet and discussing their thoughts on modern world.

I'm still baffled that Napoleon is somewhere in Moscow, of all places.

Rumors of Napoleon sleeping in Moscow probably means he was sealed away.

Since the Prologue mentioned that World War 2 is also known as the Second Napoleonic War, it's likely that Napoleon was defeated (seeing as Karl the Great, otherwise known as Charlemagne, is clearly the ruler of France now).

I've only read the first three volumes, but so far, the stage is centered in Japan, so we don't find out much about the global situation or what happened to America.

I tried to skim through Mongol generals under Genghis Khan that might be Masatsugu's true identity i.e. someone with grudge against Genghis Khan.
There are two men that (loosely) fit the profile: Jebe and Jochi.
Jebe used to injure Genghis Khan with his arrow before becoming his general, and reputedly there was one time when Genghis Khan doubt his loyalty after seeing Jebe's prowess in war (this incident is later settled when Jebe sent 100 white horses as a show of loyalty).
Jochi is the first son of Genghis Khan from his main wife. However, Jochi's paternity was in doubt throughout his whole life as he was conceived around the time his mother got kidnapped by Genghis's rival. Due to this, Jochi's younger brother is appointed as Genghis's successor even though by tradition Jochi should be the successor, and according to some sources this causes conflict between the father and son.

Admittedly, for both of these theories to fit it is necessary for the author to portray Genghis Khan to be somewhat petty (he has been portrayed as cruel/ruthless in Japan, but rarely petty).

So it's possible for a sacred beast of Japan to summon a general not of Japanese origin?

Also many of the name you guys said here are names that I've never heard before. It will be quite a letdown if Masatsugu's true identity is of someone not really famous when all his enemy are big names like Caesar, Edward, Napoleon, etc.

Fame is relative, for example I don't think Black Prince Edward is a well-known character in Japan, but most of the readers in Japan would have at least heard the name of Taira no Masakado.
I personally prefer that his true identity being someone that is reasonably famous in the history, but not famous enough to be considered big names.
I really like the choice of Verethragna and Rama in the author's previous work because they are famous deities from their country of origin, yet relatively unknown in Japan.

You can make a case for Belisarius, but you've never heard of Attila? He's the Genghis Khan before... Genghis Khan.

Anyways, aside from Caesar, Nappy and Alexander the Great, I don't think there are other famous Europeans that are also well-known in Japan.

Hakone Pass, with its multiple veteran Chevaliers, fall against Black Prince Edward...
The difference in quality between "normal" Chevaliers and Resurrectees is seriously large.

After all, Resurrectees have Feat of Arms available to them already (since they were the original performers) and can summon stronger and more plentiful Legions.

Quantity and quality, both beat.

Dear goodness... This morning, 25%. At lunch time, 50%. Just a couple hours ago, 75%. And a little bit ago, finished.
You guys weren't joking about zzhk's speed, it's terrific.
Now that I've gotten engrossed into this story, I'm fearing for my own speed at writing my story

By the way, the harem member in this series will be only those three girls? Shiori, Rikka, and Tsubome? Or will there be any more addition later on?
