And yeah, Aya is pretty much the same normal human with the exception of a mitochondria evolutionary step in order for her to survive. Which just happen to give her immortality by not aging, and a few other perks in the form of generic RPG magic...which can be inferior to say oh, a grenade launcher.

Well her Parasite Energy in the first game made more sense as it was largely healing/buffing, damage was dealt with guns.

The second game, however... got a little weird with her powers and made them look a lot more like Final Fantasy-esque magic. This does not stop the second game from being the better game.

Never played "Parasite Eve" and the first title isn't really available. Well, maybe it'll get a spot in the PSN store?

I do own a PSP but dunno if it's worth it when I don't know the franchise. To buy it just get confused or spoiled would be stupid. As pretty the cutscenes seem to be ...

Aya Brea can basically ghost hack people and use them as remote weapons. It's interesting to see the cross character advertising they're doing for Lightning and Aya Brea, do they share the same VA or something?

I was thinking they look similar to each other, dunno about the voice actors though.
Many though think Lighting is overrated, but Aya on my case in the PE series, has been great.

She won't de-age that much they think that the mitochondria will keep her at her physical prime which for a human is the early-mid twenties.

Not sure who Aya's VA is in T3B, but it's Maaya Sakamoto who does Lightning in the Japanese version of FFXIII, in her Shiki Ryougi voice. Aya sounds a little sweeter than the rough tone used for Shiki/Lightning. Could still be Sakamoto; she has a real wide range.

I dunno about this game, myself. I'd like to see a return to what made the first PE game so good (namely, the good storyline and battle system), PE2 was horribad other than Kyle and Eve (who were awesome) and usable Gunblades.

When I look at this game it seems like a generic third person shooter except you can body snatch people to avoid hits.

Fail; Parasite Eve 2 was a superior game to the original in nearly every aspect except the first game's incredible weapon customization system.

And the gunblade was stupid.

(I love how my opinion on PE2 is exactly the opposite of yours.)

PE1 was an extremely linear adventure game with RPG elements that pretended to be a survival-horror. This mishmash of genres made for frustrating and clunky gameplay.

PE2 was kinda like a survival horror... except you're the horror.

It's Maaya. I can only hope that she drank plenty of honey after her recording for 012. Pretty rough voice she had in the TGS trailer.
