Last Bosses in Heroless Worlds

AntiMagic's author, Yanagimi Touki-sensei's new work illustrated by the artist for rakudai. Krytyk has impressions of the first volume out, and it's very much right up the alley of anti-magic, except with an isekai premise. Basically, all these last bosses died in their worlds and are given a shot at redemption by saving worlds with the help of a world manager. Each one of them are problem children with tragic pasts. The work has the same chunni vibe as anti magic, as well as the boob jokes . While it's slightly comedic, also expect plenty of action and despair.

So I see a robot girl, a dark knight, archer, a guy in a suit, a demon girl, and some sort of priestess presumably banding together to defeat xenomorphs.

"What is it about? It's about a group of last bosses who died in their respective worlds, literally getting another chance.

The novel starts with the Last Boss Rehabilitation Manager choosing a party of six last bosses to rehabilitate.

After they die, they're all gathered inside a small Japanese-style room and explained that they are to save various worlds, and if they do well they will be given another chance... meaning, they will be sent back in time so that they can redo their lives.

In other words, they're dropped not into one world, but they're pushed around various worlds they have to save.
Now, impressions.

The novel overall IS indeed similar to antimagic, both good and worse parts. There is yet to be any "big plot" in the novel and for the time being this feels much like antimagic's volume one.

Why is it similar to antimagic? Because it's CHUUNI like hell. It's prepared for countless ass-pulls. Overall it's much more comedic and free-styled than Antimagic which had one theme, but it also seems to have DESPAIR parts like Antimagic did. Like, MC finding a girl he's gone to save - with cut off limbs, eyeballs pulled out and constrained inside a water tube, turned into a device for using her powers.

It does appear like we will receive a whole, huge range of various worlds from fantasy, through chuuni to science fiction worlds.

Like always, Yanagimi loves screwing around. Also he moved his boobs jokes from afterwords into the novel itself. Going as far as making main heroine as a boobjoke.

So far there is no "muh comrades" but we can already feel there will be something similar yet different as every character is more individualistic and peculiar.
Impressions - Continued.

With all its characteristic comediness, it has many serious parts like Antimagic. For example, Antimagic's trademark... tragic past. So far confirmed just for MC, but hints are that all characters have a tragic past similar to how all heroines in Antimagic had tragic past and flashbacks. It appears that several few volumes might be featuring talk of how characters are overcoming their past.

Next up is combat - it appears to be fleshed out nicely, but for the time being it's a pandora'x box considering the possibility of endless asspulls. Each character doesn't have a clear set of abilities, but countless possible ones. MC alone has a 1000 superpowers right from the start and a potential to grow considering he can copy others' abilities. (although their abilities are being limited by Gods, who seem like multiverse management company).

As for abilities limitation... well, apparently the god managing them is limiting their abilities accordingly to the level of the world they're thrown in.

Next up will be character description and impressions.
All characters go by a some kind of theme or they're some kind of rip-off (kek). Although they're quite evil like proper last bosses should be, they aren't evil to the bone but more like good guys went bad way which is why they get another chance.

The premise is that a bunch of last bosses that got killed off in their original worlds get summoned together and put in a party to save other worlds. If they do a good job, they'll get a chance to redo their lives. The blond girl from the cover is the manager that put the team together and supervises them.

Spoiler for Himawari:

Himawari- Blond girl from the cover. A former hero that couldn't save her world, and it ended up getting destroyed. Manager of the team, non-combatant

Spoiler for Akito:

Akito- The MC (Guy with the red scarf) Comes from a world where humans have superpowers. He has an ability to copy other peoples powers. Became a last boss after he failed to save his childhood friend, who was being used and abused because of her extremely unique power (Think Kiseki), and ended up killing her (by her request). She died whispering the name of his other childhood friend. He went on an evil path and ended up being killed by that childhood friend.

Vendetta- A fallen angel that dies during a war with the demons. Hates anything to do with angels and God.

Spoiler for Kirishima:

Kirishima- The guy with glasses. A super genius that ran a huge conglomerate, and used all it's funds to create a mobile suit and went on a rampage with it.

Sora- The green haired loli on the floating ball. An AI with nanomachines that can build just about anything.

Igniit- A fallen hero, idiot and a total blood knight who only cares about fighting. Uses a magic sword and sentient armour.

Alien- An Xenomorph alien queen that stumbled onto Earth, nearly destroyed it, and ended up getting killed by humans. Doesn't speak.

TL: DR is Antimagic with more asspull fights, terrible past and scenes beause why not and some comedy.

Gonna check the first volume maybe but Antimagic was enough, this one seems like a 2.0 version of that.

The characters looks interesting tho, the MC I jsut hope he's competent enough to manage different situations and his interactions with the girls. On a side note, why I'm getting NGNL vibes from this?

Can we assume Himawari is like the main Heroine here? considering her importance and the job she needs to do?

Same here, AMA 2.0 sign me up! At least here i can expect characters with clear, non 'muh morals' goals that aren't 1 volume filler and a plot that breaks its template by kicking things up to 11. Nevermind the badass adults and exposition that serves a purpose other then filling up pages.

I only hope that he learned from how he handled romance the last time.

I have an idea but what LN are you talking about? the 11 volumes detail is pretty obvioust tho.

From what i've heard (someone else just said this here aswell), he might as it's tempting. For now Krytyk is working on OSO updates. they're kinda overdue after how he focused on Finishing AMA, but i'd be lying if I said i dont want him to put that off a little longer.
