best fansub for Naruto?
Im currently trying to download all episodes of Naruto, its such a great anime.
So far I have the first 40epsiodes of Toriyama's sub they are great. But I see that Toriyama subs stop at episode 53 and Im planning on download the 10episode packages from Anbu&Aone starting from 41-50 are they as good as Toriyama's subs? And whats the extra file that comes with them ending with .afv ? I just hope they download as fast as the Toriyama's torrents. thanks |

AH for me, they are perfectly decent quality and extrordanarly fast. I dont have the patence to wait for ANBU AonE but even if i did i cant say i can tell if they're any better. Ive downloaded them for comparison a few times, the lines have had minor differences but theres no pattern of one being more direct or accurate than the other the only reason i can see to wait for ANBU AonE is that they give notes on names and seals (i can live with either font and i dont care about the karaoke since i always skip it anyway).

My favourite group is Anime Heaven. They release the fastest and I don't really need the most accurate version anyway, as I read the anime. They sometimes make mistakes I notice, so they'll most likely make quite a lot mistakes I don't notice, but it doesn't really matter to me. I don't really watch the anime for its storyline or its dialogue anyway.

Dattebayo is a new group with AH staff in it? (might be wrong on this one)
Im downloading the older episodes again due to Format and using the ANBU-AonE batch torrents...however Im downloading the latest releases from AH...1 week wait is enough, wouldnt want to make it longer. Yer what does the .afv or .sfv file do? |

I like ANBU the best now. They're grammar is always good. They're alittle slow, but the subbing compensates in flying colors.
Anime-Heaven and Dattebayo are OK, I guess. They're fast as a sonofabitch, but they're subbing is not that great. I think the speed might be the reason why they are sloppy alot. |

Bakasan was one of my fav.
S.G. Anime was quite good IMO. Unfortunatly, they only did what 1 episode? =p Anbu&Aone have good quality subs, but slow release. I prefer to download this if I have been out of the series long enugh for thier release to be out. Unfortunatly I am quite impatent. A.H. seems to have quality subs. Also one of the faster groups ATM. Of course I actualy prefer speed subs myself. I have been trying for several years to learn japanese. although I am teaching myself, and taking my sweet arse time about it (hush!). So I actualy prefer to listin to the audio track, and only use the sub titles for referance on words / phrases I do not understand, or think are out of context. I some times download raws to watch before watching a subed release just to see how far off I am on the dialogue. Yes I know anime is a terible way to learn japanese, but it is not like I know alot of people that speak the language. |

It’s funny how everyone is shouting "Dattebayo" When only a couple of months ago they were all shouting "Shin Otako" (Me being one of them.)
I guess subbers come and go, but to be fair A.A have been there from day one. Yes they had a split but we all know that was just a publicity stunt. So I guess A.A are the be all and end all of Naruto subbers, but will they continue to work after Naruto is licensed? That is the question.
