There are a lot of questions unanswered, like is the SD slot an SDIO like the Wii, is it 802.11g, does it uses the same ARM9/7 units, how much more memory is included and how big is the flash memory. Another thing is the pedometre shown at the clip, is it connected via Wifi? With NDS shop announced i reckon we will see something like VC on the DSi. I mean there are a lot of things not clear at them moment. I guess it is better to wait until november and see what the product is really like, before jumping into conclusions. |

That's because Nintendo understands developers and handhelds. Typically handheld games are easier and cheaper to develop, which encourages their development, instead of just making a game for home consoles. This is why the PSP fails, as it requires the same big budget to make games for it.

I mean the resolution and graphics are still too low, actually 0 improvement in resolution.
I understand the greatness of the game does not lie in graphics and is the reason I played my DS much more than my psp. But seeing how squareenix pushed DS's 3D capabilities, not just in the FF remakes, but also amazing games like Sigma Harmonics. These games are already great games to begin with, but their half baked 3D graphics are getting in the way. Even PSP now has quite an amazing lineup coming up in the form of Dissidia: FF, Higurashi Daybreak, Gundam vs Gundam, Macross F, Miku and IdolMasters.

I was actually expecting a pocket-sized DSi. However, the SD memory card part sounds better with a built-in camera function seems to make up for the non-GBA compatibility IMO. Besides, most DS games don't have the GBA save file conversion/transfer option. |

This is pretty ridiculous. I don't like how Nintendo is now adding a bunch of non-gaming features to a gaming console at the cost of other gaming features such as GBA backwards compatibility. Plus, some DS games are even meant to work with GBA cartridges for certain features, such as Pokémon DPP.
Not getting this. But I hope it leads to a price drop for the DS Lite so I can get that instead. |

I think how well the internet connection is might sell it for me. I'm very interested in Phantasy Star Zero and several of the other RPGs they look like they have lined up, so I think it depends on how much the difference is with the deal breaker.
But that no GBA slot is a real turn off. |

I usually find the GBA slot to be a waste most of the time considering very few games ever took advantage of the feature (the only example coming to mind for me right now is Pokemon). Well that and Knights in the Nightmare in Japan... *ahem*
That and on a DS Lite sticking in the GBA game just made your game look fugly. D:

If you check out the DSi playing DS games you might notice the screen enlargements actually stretching the game out of screen proportions. There is nothing more annoying then watching a movie or playing a game with the incorrect screen ratios (think flat characters and unreadable text). So I don't think I'll want this anymore.

Shorter battery life, and even slimmer design? I have enough problem as it is holding the DSlite without it cutting the circulation in my hands.
No GBA slot means I won't be able to use the paddle controller for Space Invader Extreme... hmmmmm not a chance in hell.
