Something that confused me about Nea's words and Mana's made me suspicious. The two of them and Allen Walker are actually 17? Nea mentioned that they lived together for 17 years and Mana further told little Red that he is actually a young but something changed his face when losing Nea. Nea wondered what happened to Mana's face back in volume 25. While the original Allen is supposed to be far older, the one reshaped Apo is actually 17 in terms of body according to Hoshino's profiles. When the series started, Hoshino said in Allen's profile "He is about 15" and with each mini timeskip Allen became taller and his age became 17 like the Campbell siblings.

Regarding Mama he days he's younger because when he killed Near his Noah memory hated his new face.

Talking about memories, it seems Mana still retains something about the original Earl. When he lived worked with Red/Allen, he told him he still loved the world when staring at the red sunset. That was exactly what the original Earl was seeing while he was crying next to Catherine Eve Campbell. So the original Earl rejected Adam and split due to the chaos with Nea being the only one who hates the world?

At least this time the flashbacks are new content. The circus arc was just the third light novel retold in manga form. Hoshino did tease the readers this arc for a while, claiming that a younger Cross Marian and Nea might appear. The thing that intrigues is that if the past Allen knew the original Earl. Not Mana or Nea but the one who appeared for two pages staring into the sky as Katherine picked his hat.

I just wish we got a little more present day stuff first. Like, we haven't seen Lenalee in how many years? Lavi's been poisoned and a prisoner of the Noah for how many years? Especially if they want us to believe there's a very dedicated Bookman society, who care deeply that the previous Bookman Jr died/disappeared, but seemingly aren't acting on the disappearance of the current Bookman and Bookman Jr. Etc etc.

Yeah. The most they have appeared is just magazine covers or the tidbits from the volumes. In fact, Komui and Timothy are the only ones who had legit cameos in extra pages from the last volumes but it was mostly a gag.

I remember that in Charagray Hoshino explained there are two reasons why Allen left the order:
1. He just didn't work as an exorcist.
2. There are way too many characters in the story to draw properly.
