I've known about it for a few weeks now, I was just waiting for more sources to confirm.

Thanks for the info!

I'm so glad they're redoing the opening this time. MH was in sore need of a new opening halfway through.

Time passes on a blink of an eyes this ages.

With the new opening song makes you ponder what sorts of spoilers and characters are going to be featured in the new video, unless the staff makes the 'sore' decision of reusing the footage of the current OP video and complementing it with the new OP song.

I wonder if it'll be an upbeat and peppy song like Dream * Wing and Shining Days? But it would also be cool if they made it all serious and dark or maybe sad and gloomy. I hope they'll use the new OP in episode 13.

It's great possibility, after all, there's no Mai-Otome this week, and the next episode airs the first week of the next year.

Twelve episodes aired in this year, and the remainder will air the following one, therefore, makes sense for the next OP to start playing at episode 13.

Sometimes, they would show no OP at all in the new episode, but slot the OP into the end at the credits. It's used if there are new revelations the episode needs to tell before the OP can be seen...

Good to hear the news about the OP.

Is there any chance for a new ED?

No, sir. Twenty-six episodes will be the maximum permitted.

Besides, Mai-Otome is directed towards a specific group of viewers not a mainstream audience.

No, but I've trying to find one. I know it's out there because people have been talking about the beat.

From what I am reading on blogs and 2ch, the new OP has a completely different feel from Dream Wing.
