Well we know he set them up, but as you say, it still is interesting that he still remembers the names of two humans. I mean, this guy must be plenty old, plus he probably has lots to do as Satan's second in command and even more since the prince of darkness seems to be sleeping right now. So, I wonder what it is about Kaisar and Favaro's families that caught his attention?

Or, equally possible given it's Bacchus we're talking about, replacing it is simply far more than Favaro can afford.
The bracelets seem to be magic based, so perhaps they never really get broken except deliberately? Also, from what I've heard, Baccus and Hansa are the gods in charge of bounties and bounty hunters, so maybe it's a one time contract with them?

And I think that having the bracelet works as a sort of pardon. Remember how badly that one Knight treated Kaiser and even how repulsed Kaiser is to having one? It's as if they give certain criminals the chance to become a bounty hunter in exchange for leniency. Favaro is the son of a well-known thief - it wouldn't surprise me if they locked him up because of that. Then again, this isn't One Piece... But it seems that while bounty hunters can become popular with the common folk, organized institutions such as Knights and noble houses look down upon them just like criminals almost. Which is weird since they apparently work for a divine being of some sort. Luckily, Bacchus seems to hold no allegiance to the Gods or Devils alike.

Edit: Speaking of... the Angel Michael in this show is a guy???
I knew Michael was pretty androgynous-looking and sounding but... no, I shouldn't be surprised any more. I really shouldn't.
Well, actually Bacchus has said he's a god since the beginning so that kind of puts him in that camp automatically. However, he seems to work more closely with humanity than the other gods. It's said in some game info that he's the god in charge of bounties and bounty hunters along with his usual mythological stuff, so if those bracelets are like a contract with him and are used to keep track of them and come to their location, as well as for the hunters to capture bounties and deliver it to him, then breaking them is probably a big deal.

I'm thinking your idea of them being a sort of pardon is basically true as well. It's like the one legitimate job available to ex-outlaws or something. Especially since when Favaro broke his, and Bacchus basically said that it made him an outlaw again.

And yes, Michael is male. A good way to tell is that all the female ones have pretty obvious busts. However, Michael and the obviously male archer angel in the beginning of this episode have completely covered, flat chests. Also, Michael shown in any anime is very rarely shown as female, so any time he's featured, it's always a good bet that he's going to be male.

In the whole world, of all the places he could have gone to, he follows a near exact path to the town where she first appeared up until they hitch a ride with Bacchus up to the port city. Coincidence? There are no coincidences.
I'm actually thinking thing that Sir Lavalley is her father, but he's exactly the knight he seems. He seemed completely surprised to see her wear a pendant that was exactly like the one he wears back in episode 2. And once he saw it, he immediately told his men not to hurt her.

As a Orleans knight, Lavalley has to use holy magic, which demons cannot, so I highly doubt he's any kind of demon in disguise. However, he IS keeping his suspicions and thoughts on Amira a secret from Jeanne and the other knights. He clearly can use his pendant to connect with Amira's pendant and can trace her that way. That's why he knew she was with Azazel and where Azazel was headed, as well as knowing that she safely escaped at the end.

Amira doesn't know anything about fathers in general, much less her own, so she has probably never met hers. She seems to only remember her mother from infancy. So, who raised her? I'm thinking whoever this sensei is that she talked about episodes ago. He's probably the one that not only told her to steal these keys, but also is probably responsible for the demonic guardian that protects her, and the guardian is probably where her powers manifest from.

Azazel said that Kaisar's dad tried to do something but he failed, so I'm sure there's a lot more behind this story that we know so far. I have a feeling that Kaisar's father knew what he was transporting (Azazel), while Favaro's dad didn't, so he was completely unprepared for what happened.

Rita cemented het position of best girl this episode. Not even Ayumu could do rocket punch and deadpan Myukichi is just too awesome. It would be nice if she hang out with Favaro for while, they are fan to watch / fanboy rant end.

But one cour?! That's really waste.

Well, one thing I've noticed with the episodes we've gotten so far is that the pacing has been perfect. It could very well be enough to tell the story the studio wanted to tell.

Also, with the current DVD/BD preorder rankings it seems likely another longer season could be greenlit.

I was thinking the same thing. Bahamut doesn't feel like it's being constricted by having a one cour time frame at all. Only getting one cour is a bit of a letdown, but at least Bahamut doesn't appear to be suffering for it.

Wow, Shingeki's BD rankings are really good(BD 1 ranked at top at the moment). I didn't realize it was that famous in Japan seeing as to how there is almost no hype of it outside it.

From what I can tell the Japanese fandom is surprised as well, just a week or so ago people were complaining about how the show seems to fly under most people's radar, is not even in any Top 10 Favorites lists and there doesn't seem to be much conversation about it (even the 2ch thread is only at its 15th incarnation, with barely any ilfe in the character threads). Pixiv also seems pretty quiet, with only a handful of art and even less fanfic...

So anyway, this is definitely surprising. I wish I could be among the people preordering this, too, but I can't afford it atm...

It might also be the exclusive code they have for the card game. Those P2W mobage gamers will pay anything to get a new exclusive card.

Well, what they might do is have another season later that continues the story. I mean, this one does have "genesis" in the title, so it could just be the beginning.

Oh, that explains everything. I hope they'll keep giving exclusive codes with each volume...

I hope that they keep that zombie dragon. It would be bummer if it parts ways next episode.

Anyway and solid episode, and count me in as another Rita fan after THAT.

He wants rescue both because: 1) He still cares about Kaisar and has even went out of his way to save the doofus once back in ep 3 from the zombies. 2) Amira getting kidnapped doesn't fix his problem and Favaro doesn't have anything against her personally, the curse aside. In fact in episode 2 subconsciously it had be shown Favaro hadn't dislike the time he spent with her and even helped out against knights in the end instead of ditch her in the smokescreen. And just like then in this episode he's once again questioning himself about it. Favaro may not admit openly, but he probably likes Amira a bit more than he let's on and pretty much resigned himself to accompanying her since then especially because his schemes have all but failed anyway.

Indeed, the pacing has been pretty spot on for a 1 cour show so far. Little in wasted moments or padding and just the right amount small/introspective to provide development for the characters. Still would have liked to be longer though.

Oh, man. The demons first, and now the Gods? I guess it's do with Lavalley always knowing Amira's location..

Actually from the title, I'm guessing more the knights than the gods. I'm actually expecting some back and forth between flashback of Jeanne's past and how she became a saint, a well as out main group having shenanigans while Amira is healing up.

Well, one cour might be indeed enough to tell story studio wants... but I am afraid it might not be enough for fulfiling depiction of world, it's faction and characters (bar main cast of course, it does very good job here).

Yeah, I just meant that in the sense the gods and humans seem to work together. I'm really looking forward to learning more about Jeanne.. and there also seems to be something about Amira. Probably just a flashback as she has both wings in one of the screenshots.

So the angels decides to show huh? I really wonder about the true essence of Bahamut though. It could be the potential end of the world but it looks like Jeanne is confident about taking it out. Azazel also makes its move which brings about another intense and compelling episode to remember
