Right now the only person we haven't seen thats ment to be in this season is Milly, I wonder where she is? I liked how Dearka and Her seemed to be starting a relationship at the end of Seed, but now it seems they moved very far away from that idea >.>

As for what I think is going to happen well...

First off, should we use spoilers here or not?

That will all have to depend on the faction that Athrun is starting. If he's starting a faction that's more on the neutral side, and planned to find a solution to all the recent conflicts, then there will be a possibility for Kira, Cagalli and all the old gangs to join them. But remember, the faction Athrun is starting have the support of Gilbert. That means its tilted more to ZAFT's side. My guess is Cagalli break off from Orb, and formed another faction (or something like that) with the former GS gang. Since Archangel and Eternal is not being destroyed in the previous war, it will most likely appear again, since Orb sort of have the habit to repair and restore stuffs. No matter what, Kira will never fight Athrun again. If it does happen again, they will most likely not try to kill each other.

He is already close to being the bad guy. He allowed the production of those new Gundams, the ones that were stolen and have already been used to kill.

I still don't think how EA and ZAFT would happily provide Orb with two of their newest and most high tech ships after the war was over. I'd think that they at least try to get them back from Orb.

Odds are the EA and ZAFT didn't have much millitary left and given the fact that ORB did have a fairly good team of ships left, 3 top line ships with good crews and experianced pilots.

I don't think they had a choice about the Archangel or Eturnal

Again, just watched a speed-sub (Chinese, RMVB format, 85MB!) of episode 8. The episode re-introduces many old SEED characters and gets Kira and Lacus to meet up with Shinn at the memorial for those who died in the brief invasion of ORB conducted by the OMNI Enforcer.

It seems that in the aftermath of Junius 7, the Atlantic Federation is demanding AND getting the all encompassing alliance that it wants of all Earth nations (sounds like a certain US President...). Cagalli does protest that these actions were undertaken by a small terrorist faction, but that purple haired guy (Yuuna?) and his father (the Prime Minister) does make a suitable rebuttal.

Not even the neutrals can stay neutral for fear of being the target of the resentment and hate that has surged in the ranks of the survivors after those damning pictures had been released.

Cagalli, once again, seems to be subtly coerced into a position she does not want ORB to be in... *SIGH*

The talk of the alliance is at the start. No ultimatium yet, that's at the end of the episode.

Athrun meets up with Kira, Lacus and the orphans. Nice moment when the children argue what to call him, Athrun or Alex. Lacus seems to be the perfect housewife and mother now, she tells Kira to go off with Athrun first while she takes the children for a walk down the beach... ^______^

So its Kira's turn to lend a ear to Athrun now. Nicely done. Once again, he doesn't speak that much. ^______^

So the middle of the episode sees the Minerva at Morgenroete, Inc. Talia meets with Murrue and Murrue is indeed using a pseudonym. Guess all of them are living under fake identities now.

Cagalli... well, this is something small, but it seems Cagalli is terribly dependent on Athrun. She apologizes to Athrun for being busy with her work and not being around the day before... maybe it is a tad subtle or it is just me but it strikes me as an over-dependency.

Athrun x Cagalli moment with the ring. I like it. Nicely done (with flushed cheeks and all that), and for once, they DO kiss. It does sound ominous though - never heard of a marriage in Gundam doing well in the end. But since Tomino isn't directing...

The crew of the Minerva have some time off for R&R, though I suspect that is going to end soon in the next episode. Kira and Shinn meet, and talk a bit before Lacus comes in. No introductions though, just friendly conversation. My take on the whole problem with Shinn is that he never really moved on, the death of his family is still a large influence upon him. If he can move on, he will probably become less hostile.

The end comes with Cagalli being surrounded by a host of people. No, they're not removing her from office, merely informing her that the Atlantic Federation has issued an ultimatium to the PLANTs, with the wording stating if the PLANTs do not conform to that ultimatium, they will consider them an enemy of Earth. The contents are not stated - but I don't think Gilbert will roll over and play dead to a hostile Earth Alliance, don't you?

I think the whole thing just got wiped under the carpet so to speak after the war was over.
kinda "we don`t want any one to know what we did so don`t ask don`t tell" position.
I`m prety sure all 3 ships ended up in the posetion of Orb one way or anouther.
they are probably locked away nice and safe in some hanger that very few ppl know about.
question is will Minerva leave for anouther Zaft base or use the mass driver to go back to space?

Yeah, i agree that scene is indeed powerful. Shinn's conflicting emotions back in his birth place is indeed profound.

ARRRRRGGHHH. I wish I never knew about these forums 'cause now I'm just itching to see this episode while it slowly dowloads into the computer at 5 kb/s and people freckin' leech into my computer at 30 kb/s. Bit torrent should make it equalize at least! I'm exceeding my school's allowed bandwith every time I DL an episode!!! I HAVE UVa INTERNET SERVICE!! Freakin circa 1994 networking structure. ARRRGH.

So everyone has a new name in Orb...man sounds like trouble. From what I'm reading, it sounds like a perfect set-up for another underdog faction that has the 3 best battleships and the very best mobile suits, but only a few of them against the WHOLE SOLAR SYSTEM...and they still end up victorious.

Spoiler: I think Athrun goes and gets Savior and as things have stated hes suppost to form his own faction, The war starts, The old EA friends we have (Kira and Co. basicly) Help Minerva get out of Orb and take up with a ship (maybe Arch Angel) Kira ends up helping them in Freedom, and Togeather all of the former Seed crew, along with our new guys join up to put an end to the war (somewhere along this, an assassination attempt is made on Cagari but her good old friends help her get out of Orb with the rest of the Seed bunch) Although the only thing I don't get is what role the Fake Lacus/Real Lacus would play in this part. As for our old ZAFT Friends, Dearka/Yzak, well no clue on them either XD Thats just what I think, MIGHT, and hope to happen, something like that.
