Hime-chan ep1

Hime-chan's Ribbon episode 1 gives Windows Media Players an "unknown error." I checked every other episode, and they all play fine, which is what really confuses me. I also re-downloaded episode 1 to no avail.

The Solar & Genbu version of Hime-chan's Ribbon episode 1 is in Matroska format. To play Matroska (provided that you can already play both XviD and DivX) download and install the latest Matroska Lite installation.

Are you sure? The extention is .avi and everything. Wouldn't it be .mkv?

I tried it anyway. It didn't work.

Yes, it would be .mkv but there I think there is an older version by Komodachi out there that is .avi. But even if it was .avi and not .mkv, it doesn't matter since you should be able to play both avi and mkv with Media Player Classic + Matroska Codecs (see NSW's post) and most importantly: XviD Codecs or ffdshow (check the sticky).

I suggest removing every codec that is already installed and reinstalling only what was mentioned above.
