Well that private company would prolly be the only one to get the law all up in that biz... and maybe Ichika since I'm implying he basically massacred the attacking units.

I guess that's somewhat in character, but considering it's Ichika, the world goes fubar anyway.

You know, I'm surprised they never tried cloning Ichika. He should've had blood tests and skin samples, so genetic material isn't impossible,

Huh? They don't need anything else but a clone: Regardless of how the clone acts, they can force him onto an IS and see if it reacts - if it did, then he proves that its Ichika's genes they need. If not, then back to square one.

Most definitely depending on how the clone is made

if it's realistic 'dolly style' cloning, it's half and half chance

if it's generic sci fi instant cloning, then the probability is higher

Question: How hard is it to see and breath through thick black smoke? I'm not talking about barbecue level smoke - I mean stuck in the middle of a forest fire smoke.

Choking in less than 1 minute, losing consciousness in 3, lung damage in 5, and immediate death in 10.

Possible usage of filter (a cloth maybe) will help a lot during the first phase.
