Anyway, long haired Akane looks great in the visual. Kana is still the best though.

It took me a second to notice her hair was longer. I guess she grows it out for the role? It looks amazing .

Can't wait to see her and Kana trying to out-act each other and compete for Aqua. It's going to be glorious .

No, she doesn't do it for her role. I don't think an explanation was ever given in the story (not like there needs to be one), but I'm pretty sure it's meta: Kana and Akane are rivals and they both had similar hairstyles, so they had Akane grow her hair out to set her apart.

Akane's hair was already a bit longer during the date with Aqua by the way.

I always just assumed it was because she was trying to be more like Ai to attract Aqua.

If I am not mistaken, it was actually given as offiial explanation: she decided to grow it after finding out Aqua liked Ai.

I have seen a correlation sometimes between girls growing their hair out after they fall in love...the Ai similarity also probably made it more appealing .

It's a good look for her .

This is pretty perfect. All the more so with how next season seems set to be absolutely amazing.

The Kana and Akane rivalry seems ready to be fully unleashed here. They already have serious issues with each other. And I doubt Akane yet realizes that Kana is interested in Aqua. It's the perfect storm. Two intense rivals who are playing characters that are basically rivals for the same guy .

Just looking forward to more of this cast. Especially more of Kana and Ruby. But obviously will get a lot of good stuff from Akane, Aqua, etc.

Since season 2 was announced when season 1 ended, 2024 was a given. The real question is when in 2024.

Promo image is pretty cool though, but Kana's the only one who doesn't look cut/paste from stock images onto a background.

The mangaka was very pleased with the Tomica concert truck toys, but not with the version of Licca-chan cosplaying as Ai Hoshino. ��
