Did it go to save Mikasa or was she just lucky it happened to be passing by?
It never really seemed to acknowledge her existence to be honest.

Is it me or Mikasa used some regular knife and cut the titan's hand while on the ground? Or is that the broken blade she sheathed?

should be the blade from 3DMG equipment

close up look of that particular blade can be seen when Armin gave all of his equipment & gas to Mikasa, and that's not a regular knife.

assuming your definition of regular knife and mine is the same though

It seemed like a broken sword to me.

Ya, that's the same one Armin had. BUt we saw her sheath it before the giant came to her and all I saw she suddenly had a knife and was able to cut the giant's hand, which begs the question of how hard their skin is again.

Fantastic episode, really liked how Mikasa motivated everyone by belittling them (With Jean and Sasha following her example as well, of course).

And about that abnormal titan that appeared to save Mikasa and the day...those eyes, that hair, that concentrated rage and that combat stance, there are no doubts. Eren JAEGER is back.

I have to rewatched the episode again to make sure but IIRC that particular blade (supposed to be super strong alloyed metal or something, used for killing a titan *reference from previous eps) was broken after Mikasa used it to cut titan's finger

and let's not to forget that "Mikasa" was using that blade

Titans are oh wait did they talk about titans weight/mass yet meeh nvm.

Also man the feels this series brings I mean in the manga as some one else said this didn't make me feel much but this ep almost made me cry even tho I knew what was going to happen. That is probably the thing this series does best is make you get emotionally attached to every character so many series fail to do that.

Sighs more baseless eren hate. At least the manga section is Eren hater free.
That's great and all, but this is the episode 7 thread and as of now, that's what I see. Good for you on reading the manga and knowing before hand, allowing you to correct others.

As for Eren, I can understand the hate. But I'm personally indifferent. He's definitely not an attractive protagonist so far though.

I mean I was just saying this does not become naruto, dbz etc it keeps the same feel. Its not a bait and switch. For now you never know when a series can hit perfect protag land like gantz for instance that series can no longer be called a seinen.

As for Eren hate I noticed most of his hate comes from one scene that should not have ever happened. Unless it was to draw comparisons to Mikasa and Eren.

Perfect protagonists aren't necessarily bad though. It depends. Then again, it depends on what you mean by "perfect" since I never read Gantz.

What scene are you talking about, by the way?

Oh absolutely, which is why episode 6 was so important to build her up.

The speech was so good that at one point I was anticipating Mikasa is going to yell, "This is Sparta." and then kick some unfortunate dude down a bottomless well, or in this case, in the wide open mouth of an waiting giant. I know I was pumped up.

The one were the useless fodder die and eren dies mainly due to bad luck. And everyone blames the fodder who would died earlier if not for erens death on Erens. Like their blood is on his hand when he is the sole reason they decided to fight and not be killed off by the giant titan.

Honestly in both situations eren being with a group of noobs was P.I.S everyone else in the top ten were put with a combination of vanguards and other members of the top ten. Mikasa was sent to the rear for being number one. Yet eren was placed with random noobs and zero vangaurd/experienced soldiers and no one else in the top ten so pretty much he was put with random noobs who pretty much were ment to be titan food to slow down the titans and nothing more that kind of placement makes zero sense unless we account for Erens shit tier luck .
