An interesting question just popped into my mind... if Kabuto unsummons Edo Madara and Tobi later revives Madara via Rinne Tensei, will the new revived Madara retain memories of Edo Madara's time walking around?

I think Kyuubi saw Naruto as the lesser of two evils so to speak.

He doesn't want to do Naruto any favors unless he gets something out of it (like weakening the seal).

But he doesn't like being controlled by Madara so he is helping Naruto to avoid Madara.

Madara is interesting. He's thinking for himself quite a bit. He clearly does not intend to be a servant of Kabuto.

I wonder how Tobi will react to Kabuto using Madara.

Doesn't Rinnegan turn corpses into mindless puppets?

Since resurrections in the Narutoverse involve the soul of a deceased person I would assume the spirit retains memory of any experience.

I think you missed the point. Madara is supposed to have this power, that was the whole point of the GotE fight against Hashirama. He implanted part of the 1st body into himself (his torso apparently) to gain his power in order to evolve and become the 2nd Rikudou Sennin.

To show him using Mokuton jutsu is necessary to showcase the fact that this isn't just the already legendary Madara of old. It is considerably worst.
This Madara is the sum of all the great powers of this world save for the Bijuu and is a semi-invincible undead to boot.

and it seems that madara pretty much never got to try out a lot of the things i wanted to try in life as he seemed to say,"time to test shit on the fly" by trying to summon the 9 tails, which he seems to have direct link with as it started burning up naruto and the 9 times knew it was calling him.

I always thought MS techniques were ideally a one on one technique. Madara probably wants to wipe out everyone with his weapons of mass ownage and sharingan the remaining bums into oblivion.

Since Tobi seems to have part of the rinnegan with him, why didn't HE revive Madara?

Actually, since Madara has the full rinnegan, why doesn't he revive himself? I mean, he can already spam the tech that took Nagato a long time just to summon a small version of. And if Nagato was supposedly able to control the 7th path, so should Madara.

Okay, here is the story.… or at least its ending…

Sasuke and Naruto fight. Sasuke wins. Sakura heals Naruto using her life force. Sasuke is killed by someone stronger. Naruto appears and gets Sasuke eyes. They become the Rin'negan. Naruto fights whoever the top villain might be. He returns as a hero. Maybe he is to become Hokage, maybe his slogan "…if I can't even save a friend…" will count.

My bet is that he will be honored because he will use the resurrection Nagato used before. Naruto will sacrifice himself and revive Sakura, Sasuke and all the victims of the war using all of his power. He will die a hero… the ultimate hero of the Ninja World.

I know that's the point. Doesn't make it any less repetitive in my eyes. Kishimoto could've shown us more new techniques first.

Kishimoto is establishing for us that Madara is insanely powerful.

We just saw him use meteorites as weapons. That's your new power right there!

He somehow gained the abilities of the 1st Hokage which includes the ability to control Bijuu so it was necessary to show that he also has Hashirama's wood element jutsu.

I wonder if Madara and "Tobi" have a plan that goes beyond the Moon's Eye technique Tobi told the Kages about.

The plans of Akatsuki have changed before.

Pain stated the plan was to used the power of the Bijuu as Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Tobi wants to control the minds of everyone on Earth.

Madara may have his own plan.

for reference, when the kyuubi said he'd give naruto jsut his chakra only, he meant his chakra only and not "his chakra + his will", which usually creates the hatred that lets the kyuubi swallow naruto

also, most of the kyuubi's chakra is being used by the naruto clones, so it's been split evenly that way. plus this is the clone that beat the 3rd raikage too no? im impressed that naruto's clones have advanced this much

i know someone's mad about the move recycling, but im honestly hoping that tsunade comes and goes "i'm not Senju Tsunade, Hasirama's granddaughter for nothing MOKUTON NO JUTSU"
