Holy moly. Fennekin is gonna be so screwed when it hits that fairy gym. Let's just hope Fennekin gains Psychic, Overheat or Flamethrower and/or is an awesome hybrid of Espeon & Darmantian. My two favourite pokemon(with Liligant as a ridiculously close second). High atk maybe with decent or high Sp. atk(maybe even the other way around), low defenses, massive speed and a movepool that teaches it the skills it needs like, psychic, with a few extra ones for both luls and good measure. Like calm mind (or whatever it's called, the skill that boosts sp.atk & Sp. def by 1 stage each use) and snooze or something.

Looking at that article, it's still only "supposed"- I suspect that if this is true, it's definitely a leak, as the official site doesn't say anything about the fairy type and all the other information.
But if it is real... well, it sounds like half the reason fairy was introduced was to further nerf dragon, and take dark down as well... and maybe to also give poison more of an edge.

Assuming this leak is real, of course. |

A new type of Pokemon and dual-type attacks eh? That's excellent. Certainly good news for those who play competitively.
A lot of Normal types will probably be changed to Fairy type. Or at least a dual type. A lot of these things are all suggestions I've seen the fan base give. Guess Game Freak is listening.

It's not fine. If they wanted to balance dragon, they should've added less powerful dragons in Gen 3/4. Who says this won't set off a chain reaction of imbalancing? o/~ I know an old lady who swallowed a fly... o/~
You can "shake up the meta" without adding a new type. This will just set off a new round of type begging next gen. As for dual type attacks, I'm not sure how they would work. |

The new type doesn't sound very strange. You have to wonder why they are hyping so much about the Sylveon. And regarding balance, do GF really care about the meta game?
