This episode filled me with emotions I cannot describe in one word! Rage, sadness, happiness, anxiety.. all in one go! ... I gotta do some human alchemy to release all these emotions now lol
Anyhow, I haven't read the manga so I'll speculate as to what could happen: - Alphonse will come back as I don't see him being trapped in that limbo for eternity, the only question is who will be sacrificed to bring him back? In a perfect world I would imagine that Ed would find a way to transmute "Father's body" in exchange for Al's soul. If that is not the case then I am affraid it will be Hoenheim the one to sacrifice himself in exchange for his son, Al. *Tears*This is an episode worth watching at least 5 times!

Wow - just wow. I'm running out of adjectives for the sheer GAR-ness of this thing. Blogged for space saving, as I had to ramble to do it justice...
http://lostinamerica-deeg.blogspot.c...erhood-62.html It would be hard to think of a series that has raised itself more in my estimation since the first episode than this one has. It isn't until the last arc begins that you can truly see the level of sophistication Arakawa has as a writer - for every shounen cliche, there are layers of intricacy that leave me in awe. The ability to weave so much together so flawlessly is something close to genius.

My guess: Ed will try what he did in the first FMA anime, but this time all his friends will travel with him to the Door of truth and offer part of their life for Al...
Or maybe Hohenheim will do it. Or maybe Greed will sacrifice himself for his new friends/companions. Or maybe Ed will sacrifice Father for Al, and he will stay in Al's place waiting forever. Or maybe Ed will sacrifice this world's alchemy for Al (They still have Rentajutsu after all). Damn, so many posibilities.

^I really doubt that whole world will so easily forgive him for giving up their alchemy for someone they don't know... That would be way too selfish for Ed to do.
CuXe Ed still has leg, so Winry still has some work to do

It was a great episode but the music ruined it for me. There was way too much overused music which failed accentuate the epicness it already had. It only made it less epic for me... They should have put NO music in a lot of the scenes. It's like they have to play the sad song during a "sad" scene. Come on...

^I liked they used the main theme again after such a long time. Can't say much about the other music, was too focused on the visuals xD
Main sentiment: ALPHOOOOOOOOOOONSE!! T__T I have to admit, I teared up a little. Even so I knew what was coming. I felt the pain again ... D: Superb adaptation. Only thing I can nag about is that they screwed a panel again I looked forward to. Specially, because it mirrored the end of the very first chapter: Spoiler for manga comparison:
No, idea why they made him do a fist instead and didn't give it the proper focus. |

Brilliant! I enjoyed Ed's berserk attack! I think that Hohenheim will probably sacrifice himself to bring Al back. However, Als expecting Ed to do it, so maybe Ed will sacrifice father. THe other option of Ed sacrificing Alchemy - is that even possible?
Loved the action scenes! And yes, it will soon be over, but it has been an enjoyable ride! cant wait!!!!!!!!! Last edited by Shinigami00; 2010-06-24 at 03:18. |
