that said, print film and video fall under protected speech and are pretty much bullet-proof to puritans and victims. it's all about money -- if some distro house thinks there is enough interest in a particular title to justify the investment, they will license it. and if they have to choose between two titles, they will choose the one expected to return more money. (sound familiar? "This money-grubbing world has left me in despair!") |

Just finished episode 4.
Abiru is a good character for Yuko Gotou's voice. I like her response to Meru's rant about her Meru's abusive email scene is one of my favorite scenes of this series so far. ("Meru Meru") Spoiler for Possible spoilers....:

Whoo! Episode 4 is definitely my second favorite episode! ^^
After being bored by episode 3, I really loved this! We got to see Kiri and the abusive email girl~ XD I really loved the email part. Hm..anyone know where that videogame is parodying..it somewhat seems like Final Fantasy..I dunno. -falls over-

Don't tell me you hadn't realised her "positivity" is merely a case of denial? Both her parents had attempted suicide several times, her mother had once been possessed and needed exorcism, and her uncle was in prison for some serious jail time.
Sure, being positive means looking on the bright side of life. But she doesn't even acknowledge any of those tragedies in her life ever happened. It is likely Kafuka had so much tragedy in her life that she couldn't take it anymore, as such she held on to sanity by denying the existence of negative things... ...which means, of course, Kafuka is a bomb waiting to go off. If there ever was to be a moment of negativity that penetrate her mental barrier, she would snap like a twig and go postal.

----- All this worrying about it not being licensed. ADV licensed Nerima Daikon Brothers which went places that this one doesn't and just labeled it TV MA(SL). That show was worse than the new OP in terms of sexual images and implications. This will prob be TV MA anyway when the censors are removed imo.
