I think the main question, if he does want to save Maria, is if he can save her while also killing her sisters. If that's not possible, then her dying would be inevitable. But considering this is the past, this already happened before and the fact that Kazuya and Maria Lancelot exist in the present era means that unless some drastic change has already occurred or will occur, Maria will survive somehow. Maria Elca Nova should be the past version of Maria Lancelot.

When was it ever established that this was the past?

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but Maria Eluka Nova is physically identical to Maria Lancelot (save for her eyes), and yet she does not know Kazuya or anything about the Nova Crisis on Earth. And in 218, it's stated that Satellizer was of equal strength to Erectar, the leader of the Sovereign Novas. And she was only 17,000 sp, which is miniscule compared to the Legendary Pandoras. If the Sovereign Novas were to be the "last boss", per se, then the Pandoras wouldn't be trouncing them as they have. It's almost like Kazuya's been sent back in time to either a) erase the whole Nova War from existence, or b) learn how it all began, and possibly how to end it in the present. And we should find out in the next couple of chapters or so, the Goddesses of Balance aren't gonna last much longer, and then we'll see what occurs once they fall.

Yeah, Gengo wanted to send Kazuya into Maria's world so that he could understand how to end the war. So it's likely this is the past and he'll find out how the war began so he can end it in the present. If he kills all of the Sovereign Nova sisters here, it could cause a time paradox and that would be a problem. It could also end Kazuya's own existence. He has to be careful if it's the past.

Finally found Chapter 219 in English, spoilers for those who haven't read it.

And it starts with Rana's soul energy rising, from 17,000 to 20,000, much to Garatolos' horror. Bonemian is furious, incensed at the thought of a "puny human" having more soul power than them. Rana blocks a particle beam with one hand, then splits up with Tempest Turn. She then moves in and takes Bonemian down with her patented Burning Fang attack.

Erectar is shocked, certain that the girls before her are actually Novas. Meanwhile, Satellizer uses the soul energy around her to heal her grievous wounds (it wasn't Kazuya after all). But then Kazuya realizes that Eluka had nothing to do with the Nova crisis, and wonder if they were created to punish Earth for its sins. Though Maria wonders if the Pandoras were sent by the Transcendent Will to punish Eluka for its sins. Erectar comes to the same conclusion, and decides she and her sisters must stop at nothing to defend Eluka from destruction. She asks Maria for her aid, whom reluctantly agrees, citing she cannot forsake her duty as a Goddess of Eluka. The Sovereign Novas merge into one, as the chapter comes to a close.

So which is it? Is the Transcendent Will trying to punish Earth for its sins, or did it have the Pandora sent to Eluka to destroy it? Either way, it would seem Kazuya is at least right about the Nova being balancers (Is this Bleach?).

Well Erectar doesn't know about Pandoras, so she's assuming the worst in this situation. And Maria shares her concerns, hence why she rejoined her sisters in defending Eluka from what she fears is total destruction. Even though Satellizer and friends have no intention of destroying Eluka, only making sure Kazuya returns to Earth alive. The end is gonna be even uglier than I originally thought, with both sides failing to understand one another.

There Kazuya hears Maria Elka talking to him, maybe explainig what is happening, Erectar uses freezing, then kazuya begins to counter it with his freezing going all out, surprising Erectar/nova. Kazuyas mind is drifting away and starts to see "Maria Lancelot/ Gendo, his bilogical mother, father, sister.... and Chifon appears. She compared to rest talks with Kazuya about the things that are happening or the reason why it is happening. Kazuya gets a breakdown of some sort. Chifon changes the background scenery from that freezing zone to "under that tree" (where casandra was sitting, or where he got a breakdown about not beign humans where he met lucy)...here mostly they will talk more. Chapter ends

I think Kazuya has that mental problem of acepting what is human so Chifon mostly will explain to him this matter so he can man the f... up and save both realms. Still its just a guess since c.223 was not released yet.

Gah, Erectar is such a troll, using Freezing to immobilize everyone, even Transcendent Cassie and Charles. So what was the point of them Transcending if they get neutralized so easily? Now I know that Erectar is desperate, but desperation will only take her so far. And I expected the Sovereign Novas to go down in this chapter, don't see why LDY is dragging it out.

And I'm hoping the next chapter isn't about Kazuya struggling with his humanity, we've been over that. No, I'd say it'll be about his inability to understand what the Novas actually are, and why Erectar and her sisters are fighting so hard to stop him. All I can say is Chiffon better make it quick, because Satellizer and friends are still fighting for their lives, as are the Sovereign Nova.

Now I don't expect Kazuya to solve everything alone, but seriously, all these interventions are sounding like Metroid: Other M, someone always has to bail Kazuya out of a sticky situation. Let him fulfill his role for crying out loud, Jeez.

Hah, maybe you're right, shouldn't take my frustration out on Kazuya. I was really annoyed that Erectar shut Cassie and Charles down with her Freezing before they even had a chance to use their Transcendent powers. Almost as insulting as the finale of the first season of the Freezing anime, when all the Pandoras (including Chiffon) went Pandora Mode, only to be instantly immobilized by a Novafied Satellizer's Freezing.

So hopefully Chiffon can help clarify things for Kazuya, specifically about what the Sovereign Nova are fighting for. It would really suck if neither side understood the other before the battle came to an end.

Rana and Satellizer are really powerful, more so than the others, but even they can't really do much against the fused Sovereign Nova by themselves and may need that power-up.

Indeed, if Kazuya empowers the Pandoras as he did during the last Nova Clash, the Sovereign Novas will fall. Rana was able to take down Bonemian alone, and with the rest of her squad also Transcendent Pandoras, victory will be all but assuredly theirs.

And I'm glad the LP's aren't directly involved in this current conflict, I don't think I could stand yet another curbstomp victory. The fact that Erectar and her sisters are considerably weaker than the LP's tells me this is indeed the past and not the present day. Roxanne noted that their foes weren't nearly as strong as the Pandora-Type Novas they faced in the 13th Clash, Novas that could injure even Cassandra, the strongest of the LP's. So it's quite the conundrum, and it's hard to discern how the conflict will be resolved. Hopefully Chiffon will give Kazuya the solution he needs to save both worlds from destruction, even though it's only Earth in mortal danger, since his friends have no intention of destroying Eluka, despite what Erectar and Maria believe. Hopefully we'll see the battle end before New Years, for I can't see the Sovereign Novas lasting much longer at this rate.

The Legendary Pandora couldn't get directly even if they wanted to. They're using all of the Soul Energy just keeping Kazuya and the others inside that dimension.

LP are holding the realms connected and now aresupporting the girls in that other dimensions. Kazuya is supported by Arcadia.


While looking on the last few chapters I think that Novas are holding up balance between world. The moment Elka started using that "totem" ceremony..totems fused with all bad energy the novas started to appear on Earth.

The will felt the problem and danger so to ballance it out it redirected those bad energies to earth to get purified (when destroyed)...so before that happened it send Maria Lancelot to Earth as a nova of ballance so she could ballance out energies.

Earth "sin" might be what Gendo did... started to create the pandora system and started to drain soul energy from the planet.... just like how Elka does with the help of the other Gendo.

Pandoras on Elka use a lot of energy and to the Will its another sin so to counter ballance it out it send a nova army to Earth with the ammount of energy the pandoras drained.

If pandoras and goddess dont stop the fighting and usage of soul energy earth will be overrun by novas and Elka will also fall becouse of no soul energy.

I guess Kazuya started to notice the problem and reason of the events happening.

Is it possible for the Pandora to make peace with the Novas and truly work together to save Elka and Earth through the balance? Maybe Kazuya can use his Freezing to communicate with the Novas.

Well that's what Gengo sent him there to do, find out what the Novas are and what they're trying to achieve. And I'd say he's finding that out at this very moment.

And considering what was shown in 219, it makes his conversation with Maria in 222 that much more important. I can see her explaining that she doesn't want to fight Kazuya's friends, but she must lest Eluka be destroyed. And Kazuya is left wondering what the heck he must do to stop this insanity. Hopefully Chiffon will help illuminate him on that, we'll see in another month.

EDIT: Chapter 220 is finally out in clear English, and it definitely explains a lot. Kazuya now realizes that in the eyes of Erectar and her sisters, his friends appear as Novas. So he wonders what happened on Earth to incur the wrath of the Transcendent Will. And after Erectar wipes out several Rounders and Darth Gengo in one fell swoop. Cassie sees the people of Eluka are also in danger and resolves to fight. And Satellizer gives the order to engage the Combined Nova. Loved the banter between Rana and Cassie, the former criticizing the latter for her weak attack, while Cassie rebuts that her role is a Finisher. And her Quadruple Accel is too fast for the Sovereign Novas to follow. Their fear is definitely made apparent in this chapter.

Found original RAWs for chapter 224, and apparently Chiffon is explaining how Gengo misinterpreted Maria's message, which could most likely be why the whole war with the Novas started. And now she's most likely telling Kazuya what her mother truly had planned, and how Kazuya can put it in motion and hopefully save both worlds, since I imagine the battles on Eluka and Earth are still going on while Kazuya is in this pocket dimension of sorts. How it will all end is still anyone's guess.

I wish I knew, especially since now 4 chapters aren't translated as of yet. But Kazuya's back on Eluka as of 225, calling for an end to the conflict. How it will end, remains to be seen.

Yeesh, 'Team Aoi'. I remember when most of the Pandora in that team actually had their own Limiters (isn't Cassie dating her's?) was it to much to ask that Roxanne, Charles and Cassie's Limiters actually be with them for a change?

Also I wonder if the point of all this 'alternate dimension women only' stuff is the author's way of giving Kazuya a big harem without technically infringing on the older characters by just saying its 'alternate dimension' Arnett etc. etc. cause isn't that Freezing mobile game out in Korea basically about Kazuya making everyone into a harem?
