Yeah, that's what a recast is. They get a copy from the original makers, then make their own molds from that original. They use their own molds and casts for sales, with both unpainted kit sales and the pre-assembled Gathering pieces.

They don't resculpt the figures, if that's what you're thinking.

Well I got after a long week at work I got around to opening my Good Smile Triela man I should have read the instructions but it only took a second to figure it out.

She looks like one solid piece but it's actually 3-pieces. Her upper half to the waist, skirt, and lower waist to her legs.

You slowly wiggle her to lift the top part off so you can remove some protective plastic, and so you can secure the lower half to the base then you reassemble her and she's done.

When on the base it's very secure, and won't lean like her counterpart Henrietta.

I want to check the release date for GSC Kurisu first. If she also comes out in January I'll have to pass on Lily, again

Actually I was thinking that the original maker supplied it or they bought the garage kit, then they painted it and assembled it and as there was no cake, they bought 1 copy and copied it from there.

Not that much of a F/SN or Saber fan, but this is my favorite GSC scaled fig (and was one of the few I was willing to pay, despite being only interested in nendo).
But... but... why in January? This is so ridiculous considering the insane amount of releases already announced.

My wallet is going to be obliterated big time ;_;

No, it's all recast. I thought the original had a cake? If not, then I guess they did sculpt that part.

Trust me, if they used original casts for Gathering, the prices would be waaay higher.

I wonder how they managed to sculpt it....

The original has a cake.

e2046 does have the resources to scuplt though, they have some original sculptures that they sell. I can't remember the name of the line, I think it's Ori or something.

Not Gathering, the line that includes figures completely sculpted by e2046, their Original works.

Detailed as ever but... What a boring pose yet again.
I wish GSC wouldn't go as far as using promotional poster for all Madoka scaled figures, considering how subpar the poses are... OTZ

I've got more figures than that.

A lot sadder ones too!

I am jealous of the Snake Eater poster however.

And glad to see the Alter Eila figure is available for pre-order!
