Is it just me, or is this Mashiro (Tayutama) cosplayer in possession of a very fine set of kitsune-mimi?
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/6587706/

I've seen quite a few good kemonomimi cosplays that use ears on the sides style (like those in Utawarerumono), but it's very rare to see convincing cosplays that use the "ears on top" style.

I'm speechless at the Samus Aran cosplay. In a good way.

Yea it looks amazing, but she also let us know that Samus probably had a lot of blind spots with that helmet lol

No kidding. Hope she didn't have to go and down too many stairs. Not to mention that costume has got to be really hot and stuffy.

The funny fact, if you clicked on the link, is that the girl who did it is blonde, just like Samus Aran

That kind of cosplay (Samus Aran) pretty much demands an escort. I know some people who do "mascots" (or fursuits if you like) for zoos and tv stations (one played Yakko(animaniacs) on a fire engine in a parade once). They always have escorts because of the 'blindsiding' issue.

yeah, the Mashiro cosplayer has some of the best ears I've ever seen -- wonder if she made them.

That kind of cosplay probably demands a bit of extra time too. I can't help but wonder how much time does she actually needs to put everything on.

She said it herself

For this con my costume was the moogle , my friend was afraid I fall in this heavy and huge costume, so I decided to realised an other in order my friend wear my moogle and me , a new costume

I told me " hey why you don't make Samus Aran as I have make on 2003" (By the past he had realised his own version of Metroid and it was impressive <<
I'm feel a little anxious " but it's a full armor! How can do that"
He explain me in each details and I do it with lot of sweat
.
Two days before the con A chimical reaction with the paint give me a true problem! But I decided to paint all with a simple little brush. After 3 passage The Samus suit was completed.

I wanted a little glow in the canon arm, I took a simple lamp and it was perfect, reactions of people were very kind, the costume was very heavy but it was a pleasure to wear it, people were persuaded It was a man inside xD

I'm remember that someone told me " Haaa I have spend so many "white nights" with you!"

xD So, yeah, lots of time and efforts apparently.

Wait, you mean that picture at the top right of the page, that lady is the one who cosplayed Samus?

This instantly makes the best Samus cosplay ever, she even looks like Samus herself.

The only way to be better is that she wore Samus's blue suit under the armour.

Yes, that's what I meant XD I discovered her cosplays because I know someone IRL who did see her at a Convention in Paris. And so, given what he said to me, I can confirm that it's really her xD

Ibara cosplaying Ami, plus more of Midori Kanada as Taiga, who I actually had trouble recognizing at first just because of the lighting is so different from her other shoot:

I am somewhat curious.. What type of contact lens actually change the eye color? Are those type of contact lens even safe?

They're tinted contacts (and they can come in several colors), and if you look back at the previous postings, there are also some specialist eye contacts intended for cinematic and costume use, i.e. cat's-eye, large pupil, "evil", etc.

However, I think they're not suited for everyday use and some may require advice from a professional optometrist before usage.

Most of them are quite safe.... in fact they sell them as eyecolor enhancers "even for normal people" in the US.

Lol, define safe? xD

I wear contacts everyday but they're normal but i only wear them less then half a day then I switch to glasses. If you think about having two pieces of plastic in your eyes, does that sound healthy? I think those contacts are meant to wear to photo shoot or occasion like that. Or cosplay They're quite expensive I'm sure of that.

@ Geta Boshi.
Those are nice cosplay pics.

And lol at the picture, it looks like one eye is looking somewhere else and the other is looking at the camera.
