That was... an episode? It was pretty awesome (if not oddly paced) up until the Miyuki x Tatsuya scene at the end. That was pretty wtf. Not sure if it was the direction of the scene or the whiplash inducing change of content compared to the rest of the episode.

On another note, we came so close to three episodes in a row without "Onii-sama". So close.

Overall, nicely paced despite the disappointing results of the fights...

In a nutshell, Mari and Mayumi are world-class magicians in their own right. Think of them as young, inexperienced, but on par with olympic class athletes if they were athletes. The guy they were fighting (And Chiba) are them /with lots of experience/. Two on one ... they'd have a shot, but not a big one. Tatsuya tipped the balance with Gram Demolition.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Lu, he just got extremely, and I mean it, EXTREMELY unlucky when he encountered both Naotsugu first, and then Tatsuya in the 2nd fight poor guy

Correction, he was facing Tatsuya, who is a special operative himself.

By the looks of it he would have bested Mayumi and Mari if he were facing them only.

I dont remember the guy Naotsugu appear in the anime before this ep beside Mari mentioned "he wasnt a brute" when Tatsuya teased her.

is there any info dump about him?

Erika's brother. World's strongest swordsman. Showed up in episode 15 long enough for Erika to have an argument with him and for Miyuki to call her a brocon.

That... wasn't very well shown. I mean, even before Tatsuya intervened, causing Lu to go down like a complete chump, it didn't look like the fight was going very well for him.

Since when did Mari skirt become splited to the hip, it's not that I'm complaining thought .

I bit surprised how Mari has the skill that effective enough to kill, I wonder if she has killed someone before..., thought I didn't know how lethal was Mayumi magic.

Why that big guy bleed after Tatsuya dispell his armor?

Before Tatsuya intervened Lu was already past Mari and on his way to Mayumi whose attacks didn't look like they were capable of stopping him.
