I'm probably the last person to notice but how appropriate it is that the direction of Sanji's eyebrows is the opposite of everyone else in his family

I wonder if Sanji is the odd one out in this case?

Boy, they are really banking on the Luffy V.S Sanji fight aren't they?

A special for that one? A special for the ending of the Cake arc so we don't have to wait another week for the final to happen would have made more sense in my opinion.

I personally was hoping for a crossover but oh well.

Ah, the real tragedy of the flashback? Sanji killed his already weak mom with his poisonous cooking!

In one scene, she eats his food, tells him to cook for her again, and dies in the next scene before he could cook for her.

That's one that i like about Sanji's mother. She even praise Sanji for that knowing that her will manage to reach Sanji (Sanji as a normal human being). Sanji fails in every superhuman test but i think this is what his mother wanted.

Has anyone watched the Episode of East Blue!?!?
They reanimated ZORO VS MIHAWK AND IT WAS GLORIOUS.
With that being said I absolutely hate Mihawk's new VA, he sounds terrible compared to the original.

So we are all in agreement when I say fuck Sanji's entire family except for his mom and Reiji, right? Just when you thought a bigger dickbag than Do Flamingo couldn't exist these fuckers make an appearance. With that said, this is a damn good arc so far.

Totally agree with you. The voice of this guy doesn't fit Mihawk at all and is worlds apart from the original VA. I don't want even to compare them..

I thought he sounded fine in the show itself (Marineford Arc, Timeskip arc). Here, however, I agree that his performance was flat.

Episode 808 is why I love One Piece. Beautifully animated action and emotionally heavy. Fantastic episode

It was a good episode but the flashback padding was almost Naruto-level unbearable. It's okay to get these flashbacks once in a while, but we've seen way too many of these scenes recently. It's almost as if the double episode idea was forced on them and they had to struggle to fill all that time.

I had actually watched episode 808 before 807, and it seemed perfect without that flashback episode leading up to it. After going back and watching it I do agree though, like after reanimating Sanji's deserted island episode with Zeff there doesn't need to be another episode showing that again.

One thing that I wish they empathized more in the Sanji vs Luffy fight Is the impact of Sanji's attacks. We saw him use Diable Attacks but it didn't look like they were burning Luffy, also no environmental damage for such heavy attacks. Minor gripes, but when they Beautifully animate his attacks like they did in this episode it would have been cool to see some more flair.

Oh man this is getting good. Brook finally getting into a serious fight. But this is conflicting because it's Big Mam and Luffy's supposed to be the one taking her down... I'm not feeling so good for ma boi.

And Pedro is savage af, though it's disappointing that Tamago wasn't that great a fighter after all. After last week I was waiting to see how Pedro lost his eye to Tamago and it turned out he took it himself. He didn't even get captured by Tamago, it was Big Mam that stepped in and did it. Tamago barely laid a finger on him. Talk about an overblown rivalry.

Also Luffy slowly tearing away his arms, holy crap that was discomforting. The subtle disfigurement, the bleeding, that high-pitched nails-on-chalkboard tearing noise, just nasty. And then he gets up and tries again, wow.

Throughout this whole arc, I keep wondering why Luffy doesn't use his Conqueror's Haki. That would have taken care of the most of all armies he faced. Also, why isn't he using haki right now to get out of his imprisonment?

Besides that, the devil fruit powers in this arc is just beyond belief of what its original intentions were when One Piece started, as if the author has run out of ideas.

Looks like we get a filler fight next week with Brooke vs Big Mom! It was off screened in the manga, so maybe the anime team can make it a little exciting

Well, there it was. I really hate that so many immature manga readers had to spoil this development for everyone else. I would have been more into this episode if I didn't already know.

I don't know why they are looking at Nami once Jinbe frees Luffy and Nami from the book.

Wow I don't know anything about Katakuri yet but so far casting Joseph Joestar seems pretty spot-on lol

Wait... Did Big Mom's gluttonous fat ass really eat Mother Carmel and the kids?....

I have to say, that unlike other villains I don't care one bit about Big Moms backstory. She is just a spoiled brat with too much power and a blackhole for a stomach, of anything her backstory made me hate her even more. If anything, I feel sorry for the people and kids that died due to her gluttony. As for Mother Carmel well... She was a bitch, but so is karma.
