That escalated quickly, I honestly didn't expect that. Fuck, she just got fully introduced in the previous episode. I mean - this ain't SnK by any means, but it still hurts, you know.

They skipped torture part that was put into Threater short. Fuck. Now we will have even more delusional apologists, who will believe that Esdese is redeemable.
Few more days to manga chapter, I hope it won't disappoint.

Well, I don't think it matters unless the numbers were significant. Either way you have people adoring a character that the author/studio either wanted people to adore or not. So whether it's misguided or not, not much anyone can do about it unless you take the words out of the author's mouth, I guess.

Whether it's for or against a character

"Ya you should like them"

"no you shouldnt have i made them to illustrate ________"

For the most part you can only debate with them with evidence samples with possible relations to real life, if someone is staring at a rock and saying that it's not there, there really isn't much to do except stand there in astonishment

Anyone know how long the series is suppose to be?

I don't think she is redeemable. I just want to see more and more of Esdeath because shes the most interesting character in the manga. Its like wanting to see more of the Joker when you know hes going to kill a whole lot of people.

Well, it was clear there is no way they'd be able to show the major gory stuff, so I for one ain't mad at all that they excluded the torture chamber and Nyau keeping Spears face as trophy.

Especially the torture chamber, I mean fucking hell, Kids were strangled, nude women beat with large spiked knuckle dusters, pushed knees first into spiked apparitions and tortured in breaking wheels.
People getting whipped, cooked alive in a giant cauldron, placed in Iron Chairs and cut to pieces.

And amidst that, Esdeath giving the torturers advice how to prolong the suffering of the poor people.

Just shows how damn tough Bulat is. Though of course the mental battle is going to be tough going against his former general there. Still a 2v1 situation and could get tricky depending on how involved the crazy skinning guy is in the fight. Certainly not going to be much of a surprise advantage for Bulat since that guy should know any weaknesses to his armor.

A bit hurried, but not a bad episode. Akame having that little breakdown had its impact, though was completely expected. The moment Tatsumi started to talk like that the flashback to his first mission was already in my head. Just the kind of person who is really good at appearing composed and putting her emotions where they won't get her killed in the next mission.

Does anyone wish to guess what Esdeath's requirements for a lover are? lol

Bulat split that axe guy in half in one blow. Damn, talk about brute force. I liked the call back to earlier in the episode when Bulat warned about being aware of your surroundings. The preview shows that flute guy apparently has a way to buff himself with massive muscles so he may not be as weak as he looks.

Also, that poor girl got skinned alive and died from agonizing shock. How horrible.

But at least it has gender equality in that both genders get equal share of deaths and pain.

I hope they make something up to show Esdeath's sadistic traits...especially since they decided to skip the torture chamber scene and made it as a gag

Expositions about how sadistic Esdeath is from other characters (Najenda, Prime Minister, Leone) didn't do even a slight justice to her character

Akame finally showed emotions. Tatsumi punched himself? Lots of unusual stuff in this episode. Well, at least he got motivated to train hard. Dsdeath's mustache & grey haired guy (general Liver) would be totally hot without the mustache. She is playing dirty too. Trying to get Night Raid to show their face & then get rid of them once and for all. Luckily, they figured it out & made a trap of their own. Now it's Esdeath's "dogs " vs Night Raid! Wow!
