(Manga) Is Naruto Shippuden is just as good, better, or worse tha Naruto part 1??

In the non-anime world we simply call shippuuden 'part 2'.

For my part, they're about on equal ground, they both have their ups and downs. Of course part 1 is the part you initially fell in love with, so I'm sure it plays a big factor for many.

Hmm thats a good point, maybe it's the same for me. While I don't dislike part 2 I really think that part 1 was a lot better.

My prob is that in part 1 the battles where really important and really cool and was about 50% why I liked Naruto. In part 2 next to the

battle all the other battles where pretty medicore. While longer battles are draggy, but that doesn't have to bad.

How Akatsuki is dying is just way 2 easy. I mean they are really strong and if you look who those guys killed(like the first Hokage). I fail to see how a kamikaze attack can kill em so easy. While Shikamaru is cool and stuff I just can't understand that his shadow binding jutsu is strong enough to hold down Akatsuki members. Basically the balance in strength is all messed you can really see that with Sasuke in the latest chapters.

I also feel a lack of flow. Everything feels so random.

You would think one of the sanin would be the best trainer for Naruto, but no after 2,5 years of training he needs more by Kakashi no less who can do a Rasegnan a skill he shouldn't be able to do just like that. Sai also isn't a cool addition to the tream same with that wood guy. The characters that where introduced in part 1 where just so much cooler. Azuma's death was also pointless.

After my rant I noticed I really liked part 1 a whole lot more. O_o More then I first realized. =o

I'd say...part 2 has a couple nice upcoming battles battles which are in some ways better then some of the last part (1).

However....it's save to say so far that the sounds/music during the anime of part 2 is rather boring compared to part 1. Gaara's battle so far Shippuuden 3-4-5 proves that...it's an awesome fight but the music makes it boring to watch...

Compare that to the battle of Sasuke vs Naruto and then it's easy to say that Valley of the End battle was alot more exciting..

Because the manga makes no sense now.

The anime has no quality control on how badly it's dragged out.


I used to look forward to watching & reading Naruto everyweek, now I'm thinking what crazy and boring stuff will I have to watch & read this week.


Any suggestions on good anime/manga that has good story telling about courage, integrity & friendship that Naruto used to stand for?

To answer the question.

I think Part 1 is better than Part 2.

Part 1 made the journey enjoyable.

Part 2 is nonsensical powerups to an end point which is becoming predicatable.

It's a bit too early to compare them [if you're talking about anime only] but there was nothing really amazing in Shippuden to date [except Naruto-Sasuke-Kyubi meeting in first episode] because everything else was drawn-out...

So first part is better for me [especially when I skipped fillers].

too early to tell naruto 1 started out slow and it looks like shippuden is following that pattern hopefully it will get better just like 1 and eventually be better than 1 but right now shippuden is dragging everything out so 1 is better

for me its a love and hate. I like seeing naruto getting stronger and stuff, and some of the fghts are badass but, I hate that they haven't shown anything towards hinata and her team... its like they don't exist...

oh geez you just reminded me of that, can you image? we've been 5 episodes into part 2 and we've only covred less than 5 chapters, THATS gonna take us FOREVER, maybe till next year to even get past that, don't forget there doing the stupid skipping a week thing now also i don't think we'd even catch up to the point we're at in the manga currently till almost end of next year

Haha that would be cruel....gibits & sx3....that's the worst thing that could happen. With flashbacks from part 1 for a whole season filling the fight...back then i was like that...but now like this...so i can dodge or i can jump higher...

breaks my heart to think of how high of a percent that it will actually take up SO much time that'd we be in 2008 by the time its done =S like honestly, i really do think it will take that long for that 1 arc

There have been parts I really liked. For example the fight against Sasori. He might have lost, but it sure was awesome what hell of a fight he put up before he went down.
Not to mention that it really took quite something to kill him.

But there are too much lame part:

The Kunoichi with the thwo tails (it was the two tails, wasn't it?) that went down in two pictures without Akatsuki getting a scratch.
Shikamaru defeating an Akatsuki member single handed.
and so on ...

Taking everything in consideration I tend to say the first part was better. More balance.

I first read part one of the manga Naruto and then I bought all the Naruto Unleashed Box Sets. So I knew what was going to happen up until the fillers which I really enjoyed. I then read two volumes of part two of the manga Naruto which I enjoyed even more then part one of Naruto so now I am waiting for the Box Sets of Naruto Shippuden to come out. I first read the manga of Naruto Unleashed and then I was intrested in watching the anime instead of reading the manga all the time but I must say i think the manga is better but I love the opening and endings of the anime Naruto.
