Well in all honest volume 14 isnt exactly that hard to animete and it would show Aqua and Terra.

Ending at volume 14 isn't impossible. Having 8 episodes for 12-13 would be impressive, but...
Honestly, is there enough content in those to fill 4 hours of air time without it getting tedious?
I skimmed over the available translations and the most I can see is 6, probably 5 episodes.
That would mean cut content though, but I think having Terra and Acqua in the trailer makes this a possibility. Plus, it would mean Season 3 would start with Volume 15, the battle royale.

It's seven episodes, actually, if I counted correctly.

I don't want volume 14 in the second season. Volume 13 is a perfect place to end, and trying to put in volume 14 would really cut a lot of things out. Volumes 14 and 16 are connected, so it would be better to include them in the same season. And also, starting with volume 15 would mean that they would have to include volume 20, and it just doesn't make sense to end at the beginning of an arc.

dont u mean V.19 ? 19 would be perfect for the end since its the last 2/3 heroes on their way to russia. Then Russia arc.

That would be a bit awkward to end the season with things not yet settled... Like an US TV series

If it were up to me...

Season 3 = SS, 14, 15, 16

- yes, 12 episodes
- The SS is pretty much a very vital part of the story that introduces very important characters and development, so I believe it should be included in the actual series and not a OVA.


Season 4 = 17-18, 19, 20-22

- Back to 24 episodes
- My opinion is that this would settle things nicely, unless vol 16 is more important than I've realized?

I assumed that if volume 15 started off the season then they'd probably put in volume 20 to fill up the space. They have to pace things accordingly, and the seasons so far have had at least six volumes each.

My ideal plan would be volumes 14-19 in a 24 episode season and volumes 20-21 to be made into a movie.

You forgot SS2 belongs in there and we'd need a way to introduce bardway. If i remember correctly she appears in V.22

bardway is too minor compared to group and shiage, ss2 is a real side story with barely any link to the main story unlike ss1 where the people turn out to be vital in the up coming story

There's no reason for there to be anime-original episodes. It doesn't make sense, and GROUP was already shown in the opening.

I am a little disappointed that the rest of the episodes aren't devoted to volume 13 and that SS is going to be squeezed in there as an afterthought, but at least there's nothing in the way of Index III except Railgun now.

Holy crap does this news make me rage so hard. I found out this morning and have been ranting about it to my [poor] friends.

But seriously, J.C. Staff, I am disappoint. Why? Why you do this! Vol. 13 would've been an excellent finale but the director just had to squeeze in the SS. Either way, my expectations for the next few episodes are plunging so hopefully I won't get too disappointed when I see the end result.

Yeah and we all saw Saten in 1st season's OP, how well did that turned out?

It makes less sense to be forcing good material into a sardine can just to make it fit.

At least in an original story they can shape it however they want to make it fit nicely.

This is such a bother. I was literally thinking today. Oh they might make the SS an OVA and JC wouldn't screw this up like I heard they messed up Zero no whatever. Just gonna stop thinking. Though I hope they plan on adding extra eps. SS isn't bad cuz it has it's killings and stuff but as a finale. Na. I think the directors up to something cuz season 1 left off at a good point. Cuz what basically happening is he gets ur dick hard for the ride but turns u off nasty
