I'm not sure about the manga, and maybe I'm better off being ignorant (ignorance is bliss, afterall), but I'm enjoying the anime as is. Sometimes, I'm a little concerned about clicking on this thread, since the complaints do dampen the enjoyment quite a bit.

Though I was wondering about that scene. I really have no idea what goes on in Sinbad's head at times. Not even really kidding on that one, just not sure what he thinks about this girl.

Either way I felt bad for Kougyoku in this one. Heavily conflicted in some respects. It wasn't off the mark to say that she did wish to be more of a warrior not someone to marry off politically. Yet at the same time pretty clear how she's fallen for Sinbad so doesn't want to join in a war at any point that would mean fighting against him. Probably was also worried that he'd end up hating her, because of what Judal said. Did find that whole scene to be an interesting part of the episode.

This is from ch.86, where Sinbad shows Hakuryuu around in Sindria, and I may be wrong, but I remember this girl being mentioned in an extra as "a soldier directly under the command of the 8 generals" and there is also Aziza, who is Ja'far's assistant. Hope they make a little appearance at the end.

Wonder if Kougyoku will take part in this war.

Those two in that panel appear to be guests judging by what Sinbad said, so they aren't part of Sindria. Oh wait the dark skinned girl looks to be wearing Sindria uniform so maybe she is...

As for Kougyoku, her full djinn equip form was shown in a magazine scan somewhere, so I'm quite certain they'll have her join the war since I highly doubt they'll be doing the chapter she actually uses it. It also fits how the anime seems to be trying to make things as 'epic' as possible by having the war happen along with whatever stupid thing they've got planned for Alibaba's character.

I hope they consulted Ohtaka about the generals cause it'd pretty neat to see Drakon, Spartos, Hinahoho and Pisti in combat ahead of the manga like what they did with Hakurei's djinn equip.

I guess it depends on how big or powerful the enemy army is

Only 2 episodes left and too much characters joining this war, everyone will need his moment of glory, plus alibaba's group' fight must not be overshadowed, how all this will be balanced is unknown. Let's hope the staff put the best they got.

As Sinbad said, Sindria and Kou are technically on a peace treaty, so they aren't enemies right now. Al-Thamen are the one doing the attacking so it doesn't really count as going against Kou even though it's members have high positions in there.

As annoying as an original ending is at least it is not as bad as the Blue Exorcist ending, Ill give them that.

I just noticed something. Judal, a magi, had parents. That means he was born into the world from humans. Aladdin, as far as we know, does not seem like he had parents. It is as if he was born from magic.

It's a bit of a spoiler, but suffice to say that this assumption is wrong. However, the reveal and details come AFTER Zagan. It segues a bit into Hakuryuu's mommy issues as well.

Depending on how they handle the finale, they can actually get the story back on track with the manga (albeit with several differences). They just have to not Claymore it.

Spoiler for episode 24, some manga comparison.:

As suspected since they changed the snake bite and moved the dark rukh infection forward, Hakuryu was made to lose his arm in the Zagan dungeon. Thankfully they also kept Dunya's flashback, though she hasn't been saved by Aladdin's Wisdom of Solomon. I hope she lives and gets redeemed though, cause while the story could sort of still work with her dead early on, it would be a shame to waste her character like that.

Sharrkan and Masrur's fights were totally BS due to time restraints. I'm not expecting anything better from Yamraiha's next week.

Based on this week's ep, the summary for the final ep and the manga, I'll be making my own predictions of how the finale will play out:

Spoiler for Episode 25 predictions based on anime and manga knowledge. Spoilers abound.:

• Dark Alibaba will attack Aladdin & Hakuryu while Aladdin calls out to him, etc.
• At some point Morgiana will intervene and break the eye thing on Evilbaba's head like in the episode summary. This is possible because the anime's been hinting that Hakuryu already obtained Zagan and Mor's being healed in the treasure room.
• Aladdin will use Solomon's Wisdom on Evilbaba. Solomon knows what sort of talk the staff will have them do and Aladdin will face off against Isnan.
• Quite possibly their confrontation will be somewhat similar to the manga and we'll get the flashbacks from Aladdin. Isnan will either be properly defeated here or he will escape. The hint about Alibaba's rukh might be shown.
• Hopefully Dunya isn't dead and will get her redemption. Zagan may or may not be used to save her life.
• On the Sindria side, Yamraiha's fight will play out as a super condensed version just like Sharrkan and Masrur's.
• Kougyoku will use her djinn equip to stop the flesh eating evil mist thing of doom from advancing. Solomon knows how they'll kill that thing.
• Assuming Isnan isn't defeated by Aladdin, his scene with Sinbad will play out the same as the manga. Sinbad might kill that evil mist thing too.
• The rest of the generals drive off the remaining cannon fodder. Al Thamen does their best "Someday, Gadget! SOMEDAY!! *shakes fist*" impression.
• It will end with the anime's own version of the second maharagan.
• Worst case scenario: It will end with everyone sailing off. Lots of material outright skipped.
• Absolute worst scenario: None of the above happens and we get Claymore'd. ahaha.wav

That's just what I believe is the best way to end the anime at this point with as little damage done to the canon story as it possibly can.

Speaking of Evilbaba, I totally laughed at his Dark Djinn Equip form. C'mon, I expected something cooler, not based on Dunya's equip, floating shawl and all. Should've just given him her breastplates while they're at it.

The only time Alibaba should be allowed to fall into Depravity is within doujins, if you know what I mean. /shot

It's so wrong for Alibaba to fall into depravity, when he's been built as the purest character (at least in the manga). He's the guy who saves people from falling into the depravity, not the guy who falls into it himself. ><

Seeing how the anime staff binned all the important lessons from Balbad in this, it can't be helped. Maybe after this arc anime Alibaba will finally be on the level of the manga Alibaba, or at least close to it.

But as I said in my last post, the only time Alibaba should be allowed to fall into Depravity is within doujins, if you know what I mean. Duhuhu- /shot /shot /shot
