Nice bonus.
I prefered the scene without, like it was originally.
Tobi stopping Konan cold before she could even try to defend herself felt more brutal and coldly efficient which is one of Tobi's trademark. He doesn't play much in the flashy department, he's the type of vilain who'd stick explosive to a child just to make a diversion or gut you from behind with a broken pipe before choking you to death with his bare hand.
No flashy Taijutsu moves, just plain cold murder.
I like that.

That particular scene made Konan look really bad.

I mean, the dude lost an arm and an eye, plus he's an old fart with a half-assed Zetsu body.

I remember people didn't like the rainbow scene, they even made a lot of jokes about it, similarly to the scene where Sasuke cries and we see his teammates and then Kishimoto draws a random hawk there
The anime team probably wanted to fix that scene. Of course as always, the outcome of their efforts is questionable

Yeah, but he doesn't kill the younger ones!
So Tsunade is really a dude since she's still alive...?

Great episode. Konan was a nice character.
Though I think she should have planned a B-plan as well.
Her first plan was very clever and revealed us some of the Madara's weaknesses, but she bet all her money on it... not that she would have had much chakra to do anything equally impressive though...
If anything, she should have committed suicide to prevent Madara to made reveal the location of the Nagato's corpse... or made them explode remotely, no matter how previous to her it was...
To the other posters who wonder why Madara didn't use Susano'o, I'm not sure he can actually do it. Mangekyo Sharingan's powers seem to differ from users to users.
My understanding is that Sasuke's Susano'o and Amaterasu are a gift from Itachi.
So Madara may have special Mangekyo Sharingan's powers which we don't know yet (or is his teleportation jutsu one of these powers... just seems to be a different application than Kakashi's Kamui).

I was first expecting this red paper to be a dying message to Naruto, similar to what Jiraiya's did, to reveal to him some of Madara's power and let him know she was no longer in the course...

That said, I liked the flashback about the 3 kids and found it was a nice way to wrap things up about them.

Madara's revelation that Nagato was an Uzumaki was shocking too.
Was Nagato himself aware he was part of the Uzumaki clan as he didn't refer to his lineage at any point when chasing Naruto or talking with him...

Also, during the flashback, Jiraiya mentionned the kids having to learn to stay perfectly still: does that mean he intended to teach them Sage Mode eventually?

^ I too wonder why he wanted to teach them to stay still.

Not that we will ever find out since all of them are dead now.

That, and the toad costumes, so yes I assume that was his intention.

If you go back to Sasuke's fight with A, he used his right eye to control the amaterasu spawning from his left eye, unlike Itachi who cast tsukuyomi with one and amaterasu with the other. It's quite possible that Madara has another technique, or that his warping is what he got from his eyes (kind of like Kakashi's kamui).

Her B-plan was the sea of exploding tags. If that wasn't going to work, nothing would have.

Whoever dares to call Konan weak, better re-watch this fight again.
So far she is the only one who damaged Madara so much, at least in this age.

Well at least one female character in Naruto has a backbone(well other than hinata). Man wished it was someone else other than tobi she was fighting. Would have loved to see her wipe the floor with someone else.

So how is it possible that Jiraiya was using Rasengan against the orphans when he learned it from Minato AFTER he left them.

I guess the anime team didn't read the manga...
